Kosovo’s membership at INTERPOL, unacceptable for Serbia (RTK)

Head of Serbia’s Parliamentarian Commission for Kosovo, Milovan Drecun, said that Kosovo’s efforts for membership at Interpol, are unacceptable for the Serbian state.

“It is unacceptable to us for a self-proclaimed state to become member of Interpol. Eventual membership at Interpol would give them a short access to pressing charges and putting them directly into power, without mediation from UNMIK,” Drecun said.

One month detention for suspect of war crimes (RTK)

The Basic Court in Prizren has approved the request of the Special Prosecution to detain for one month Bogdan Mitrovic, suspect of war crimes committed in Sopi village.

"The defendant is suspected of cooperating in committing war crimes against the civilian population on 02.04.1999, in Sopi village, where 32 unarmed civilians were killed by the Serbian armed forces, and the above mentioned defendant was among them," reads the announcement of the Basic Court in Prizren.

O’Connell: Government should engage more on the fate of the missing (RTK)

The Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Kosovo, Ruairi O’Connell, has requested on the International Day of the Disappeared, has requested to enlighten the fate of the missing persons in Kosovo.

“On International Day of the Disappeared, I salute the courage, dignity and determination of families to find truth and justice. I feel their pain and loss, and I hope governments will do all they can, including by releasing information, to resolve the fate of the missing and to support families left behind,” O’Connell wrote.

Haradinaj: Assembly session either in the end of this week, or beginning of the other (RTK)

The EU statement on the process of selection of Supreme Court and Court of Appeals presidents (RTK)

RTK has published today's statement of the European Office in Kosovo with regards to the recent appointments at Kosovo's Supreme Court and Court of Appeals.

Thaci: The fate of the missing should not be politicized (RTK)

The President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, said that delay on shedding light on the missing persons is unacceptable.

“I was and will remain engaged on the issue of the missing in order for it to conclude soon and in a fair manner. I will personally engage to shed light on the fate of the missing and close this chapter,” President Thaci said.

He made these comments during his speech at  conference organized by the Resource Center for the Missing Persons, that is being held in Pristina.

Ditman to Vucic: Internal dialogue, a right move (media)

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with German Ambassador to Serbia, Alex Ditman. They discussed many issues and the most important one was that of Kosovo.
German Ambassador Alex Ditman stressed that internal dialogue for Kosovo is a serious and right move, Serbian media reported.

Vucic said that the internal dialogue as well as resuming of dialogue with Pristina is in the service of long-term peace in the region. He added the region would have a better future if Albanians and Serbs succeed to establish good relations.

Makolli: There is no PAN-AKR agreement, we stay loyal to LAA (RTK)

The general secretary of the New Kosovo Alliance (AKR), Vesel Makolli, said today that his party has not reached and is not expected to reach any agreement with the PAN coalition. He said that AKR intends to remain loyal to its coalition with the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK).

Makolli added that the ten day deadline that the AKR leader Behxhet Pacolli gave to LDK and Vetevendosje movement, was a call for unity between these two parties.
