Hashim Thaci’s calmness (Zeri)

Editor in chief of this daily, Arbana Xharra, considers that current calmness of the Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci is quite reasonable, “being that he has always had a plan B and that he calculates every single move in advance.” She considers that except for Vetevendosje, Thaci knows all the other opposition leaders very well because he has trapped them at least once.

“He knows very well that the current blockade by the opposition is not related to the Association or Demarcation, because these two issues cannot be undone.

Opposition: Over 100 thousand people signed petition against “Zajednica” (Gazeta Express)

Representatives of the Vetevendosje movement, Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), and Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA), held today a press conference at “Mother Teresa” square, where they informed that 101 thousand and 672 Kosovo people signed the petition against establishment of the Association of the Municipalities with Serb majority and demarcation of the border with Montenegro.

Opposition parties want early elections (Gazeta Express/TV Dukagjini)

The Vetevendosje Movement, Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) and Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA) have reached a principle agreement on a joint election list and have agreed to block the institutional life until Kosovo goes to early parliamentary elections. Unnamed sources told TV Dukagjini that the opposition wants elections to be held in late October or early November. The same sources said that the agreement led to the AAK and NISMA joining the Vetevendosje action of throwing eggs at Prime Minister Mustafa at the Assembly today.

Haradinaj: We have more eggs (Gazeta Express)

Ramush Haradinaj, the leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), said the attack on Prime Minister Isa Mustafa at the assembly session today was an expected reaction from the MPs. “The throwing of eggs was both right and necessary,” Haradinaj said. He also warned that opposition MPs have more eggs left. “The Prime Minister cannot make fun of the country,” he added.

The Leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj commented the statement of the President of the United States of America, Barack Obama, during his address to Kosovo’s new ambassador to the US, Vlora Citaku, where he expressed support for the border demarcation between Kosovo and Montenegro.

The three leaders of the united opposition in Kosovo, Visar Ymeri (Vetevendosje), Ramush Haradinaj (AAK) and Fatmir Limaj (NISMA), signed today the petition which requests rejection of the recent agreements reached in Brussels between Pristina and Belgrade and demarcation of the border with Montenegro. After signing the petition, AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj said that the reached agreements do not harm Kosovo only politically, but on the judicial and economic aspects as well. NISMA leader, Fatmir Limaj, called on the supporters of his party and all the people of Kosovo to sign this petition.

Opposition parties form joint anti-government front (media)

The Vetevendosje leader, Visar Ymeri, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) leader Ramush Haradinaj and the Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA) leader Fatmir Limaj, told a press conference in Pristina today that they have agreed to form a joint anti-government front. The opposition leaders said that starting from Friday they will organize a petition throughout Kosovo in opposition to the formation of the Association/Community of Serb-majority municipalities, the agreements reached in Brussels and the border demarcation with Montenegro.

Ramush Haradinaj, ,leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) said in an interview for Radio Dukagjini that the worst thing about the special court is that according to him, it is selective and it affects only Albanians. He further added that he is not surprised by the fact that the special court could seek evidence and investigate Dukagjini zone, because it is well known that the war happened there. “The fighting happened in Dukagjin, and the war did not end earlier as in other zones. AAK will organize anti-government protests (media)

Several news sites report that the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) led by Ramush Haradinaj will soon organize protests against the government. Haradinaj said today that protests will be held against “corruption, the degradation of the government and against all agreements reached in Brussels”. The AAK did not announce an eventual timetable for the protests.
