Belgrade-based daily Blic writes today that French President Emanuel Macron is not giving up on his visit to Serbia and that he is coming to “help” with Kosovo.

According to the daily, Macron would visit Belgrade on 5 and 6 December, while the protest and unrests on the streets of Paris related to the increase of fuel price, did not deter him to change his plan. Experts also said the fact he chose to stay overnight in Belgrade is a positive message.

Macron is scheduled to meet Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and following the meeting press conference would be held.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic told French Ambassador Frederic Mondoloni that Belgrade is prepared to continue the dialogue with Pristina as soon as Kosovo revokes the 100 percent tariffs on goods from Serbia, FoNet news agency reports.

Vucic said that Pristina’s decisions which increase the risk of escalating the conflict and endanger the peace and stability of the region are unacceptable, adding that there must be rules and respect for the other side in every dialogue, a press release from the President’s Cabinet quoted him as saying.

President Aleksandar Vucic has expressed his gratitude to the President of France Emmanuel Macron for the personal letter he sent to Serbia. Vucic assessed the letter as a good announcement and a good signal before Macron's visit to Serbia.

In a statement to TV Pink, he said this was "not a circular letter" that would have gone to everyone who attended the (scandalous) ceremony in Paris (on Nov. 11) - "but about a special letter for Serbia, handed over by the president of France."

If French President Emmanuel Macron meant to intentionally insult Serbia, he would not come to visit Belgrade, says Nikola Selakovic.

Selakovic was referring to the seating arrangement scandal in Paris last Sunday, during the marking of the 100 years since the end of WW1.

The protocol of the French President placed President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic outside the official stand during the celebration of the end of WW1 in Paris.

French Ambassador in Belgrade Frederic Mandolini has offered an apology to Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and the Serb people.

Mandolini told Prva TV on Monday morning that what happened with the seating arrangement during a ceremony in Paris to mark 100 years since the end of the First World War was "regrettable."

At Sunday's ceremony in Paris marking 100 years since the end of the First World War, the place behind Vladimir Putin was given to Hashim Thaci.

Many are today commenting on the decision of the organizer, some consider it scandalous, and the media also write about "only the alphabetic order" being important.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said "the protocol for this event certainly did not reflect the relation of forces."

More than seventy world leaders attended a ceremony in Paris on November 11, marking the 100th anniversary of the Armistice that brought World War One to an end. The central commemoration was held at the Triumphant Gate, near the western end of the Champs-Élysées. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo President Hashim Thaci also attended the ceremony, KoSSev portal reports.

National People's Party leader Vuk Jeremic said that Kosovo flag in Notre-Dame do not 'affect too much' the state top of Serbia, reports Belgrade based daily Danas.

He also said that representative of Kosovo would not have been invited to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War, if the "performance" of Aleksandar Vucic and Hashim Thaci was not foreseen for this occasion.

A Serbian deputy, Sanda Raskovic-Ivic sent an open letter to the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, calling on him to cancel his attendance of the anniversary of the end of the First World War in Paris, which will show that Serbia will not accept blackmail, humiliation and a revision of history.
