Vulin: Violence against Serbs remain undiscovered (Blic)

Violence against Serbs in Kosovo is continuing, the culprits are never discovered and after it happens the violence is immediately forgotten, said the Minister for Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs, Aleksandar Vulin. During his visit to family Vucetic in Mitrovica north, Minister said that their six-year old son Borivoje is example of the life of Serbs in Kosovo. He recalled that Borivoje and his sister Milica were injured when a bomb was thrown at their house in Bosnjacka Mahala.

PM Vucic to visit Kosovo on April 3 (B92, Politika, Tanjug, Blic)

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic will visit Kosovo on Sunday, April 3.

Head of the Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric made the announcement on Wednesday.

"This is big and important news for all citizens, particularly for those in Kosovo and Metohija. The prime minister will visit Kosovo and Metohija on Sunday, April 3, to meet with Trepca miners and visit Zubin Potok and Kosovska Mitrovica," Djuric told state broadcaster RTS.

Political background of the March pogrom is still unknown (Blic)

Minister of Returns in the Kosovo government, Dalibor Jevtic says that even 12 years after the March pogrom the political background is unknown and that they demand from the international community and the Kosovo institutions to sanction those responsible.

He recalled that, in addition to attacks on Serb property and the SPC, over 4,000 people left their homes in a single day, and that he hopes that the violence, which took place 12 years ago, will never happen again.

Serbs in Kosovo not asked about the draft law on Trepca (Blic)

The Kosovo government has formed a commission to deal with the draft law on Trepca, but representatives of the Serbs in Kosovo have opposed it and have pointed out that the Serbian community should have a decisive voice in terms of assets in the predominantly Serbian areas.

Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric says that Pristina was refusing any talks about the property.

Head of the Serbian government's Office for Kosovo and Metohija (KiM), Marko Djuric said in Zubin Potok, northern Kosovo, on Tuesday, that Serbia would continue to fund its institutions in Kosovo and that Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic would visit the province soon.

During a visit he paid to the municipality, Djuric said that Serbia would continue to fund all its institutions in Kosovo and that it would continue to provide their services as before.

Tomorrow is 12th anniversary since the March violence in Kosovo (Blic)

On Thursday 17 March is 12th anniversary of the biggest inter-ethnic conflict in Kosovo since the arrival of international forces. For this two-day tragedy and violence against the Serbian people, their property, churches and monasteries, during which six towns and 10 villages were ethnically cleansed, only small number of people were held responsible while imposed penalties were almost symbolic.

Tomanovic: Families of missing Serbs are bitter (Blic, Politika)

President of the Association of Kidnapped and Missing Persons in Kosovo and Metohija, Verica Tomanovic says that families are aware that the fate of their loved ones cannot be disclosed without the participation of EULEX and the Albanian institutions. She says that due to the passivity of EULEX and Albanian institutions there has been no progress in the search process over the past eleven years.

Maric: Additional funds for municipalities in northern Kosovo (Blic)

Kosovo Minister of Local Government Administration Ljubomir Maric said that the municipalities with Serbian majority in northern Kosovo might be closed in the case that additional funds from the Kosovo budget are not provided. Maric said that the budget circular by the Kosovo Ministry of Finance, delivered to the municipalities in northern Kosovo, indicates insufficient allocations for the normal functioning of the municipalities. He added that this is in total contrast with the integration that is expected, and stemming from the Brussels process.

Djuric in Gorazdevac (Blic)

Director of the Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric laid flowers in Gorazdevac in front of the restored monument of Serbs killed in this village.

Djuric attended the consecration of the restored monument in the centre of Gorazdevac, conducted by Archimandrite Sava Janjic.

The monument was demolished on December 7 last year and renovated with the funds of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija.
