A YES for the association of the Presevo Valley (Koha Ditore)

Adriatik Kelmendi considers that the idea for the creation of the Association of the municipalities with Albanian majority in the territory that to majority of Albanians represents Eastern Kosovo while to Serbs southern Serbia, seems to be a delayed one, however it is imposed as a necessity. According to him, reciprocity for Presevo Valley should have been the initial strategy of Albanians as a response to the request for autonomy for Serbs within Kosovo.

MPs of the Serbian list will face charges because they didn’t report the property (Blic)

Charges were filed against several MPs of the Serbian List in Mitrovica North, because they didn’t report their property to the Kosovo Agency for fight against corruption. Some MPs have said they had already received verdicts, according to which they are sentenced on probation and fined. “I do not have exact data which MPs were charged. I am also one of the accused on the list, though it is clear that there was no intention to obstruct the process,” said the mayor of Mitrovica North, Goran Rakic.

One person wounded, another injured in two separate incidents in Leposaviq (Kosovapress)

A 20 year-old woman was wounded last night at a Leposaviq bar, sources said. Unidentified persons are reported to have fired at the victim from a moving vehicle. The motive behind the attack is not known while the victim is being treated at the Mitrovica north hospital and is in a stable condition. Sources also said that the bar where the attack happened is owned by one of the alleged drug dealers in the north. Also last night in Leposaviq, a major fight broke out between several people which left a brother of a Kosovo Police officer seriously injured.

Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo from the Serbian List, Branimir Stojanovic, was present at the organized protest in support of the leader of Citizens’ Initive SDP, Oliver Ivanovic and the other defendant, Dragolub Delibashic. Stojanovic even held a speech in front of the protesters, saying that they would never leave Oliver Ivanovic alone. “Oliver and any other Serb will not be alone at this point. Never ever,” said Stojanovic. The protest, where 600 people were allegedly present, started at 10:00 and concluded thirty minutes later.

Djuric is in northern part of Mitrovica (Klan Kosova)

Head of the Office for Kosovo at the Government of Serbia, has ignored Kosovo authorities, entering the territory of Kosovo, despite the rejection of the permission. Djuric is staying today in northern part of Mitrovica, and according to the sequences of the news agency Tanjug, he visited this morning the headquarter of the Citizens’ Initiative “Freedom, Democracy, Justice,” headed by Oliver Ivanovic.

Despite the announcement of Marko Djuric, chief of the Office for Kosovo at the Government of Serbia, Kosovo Police has not registered his presence in Mitrovica. Deputy Director of Kosovo Police in the North, Besim Hoti, informed that Djuric is participating in the protest. According to him, reporting of some local media that Djuric entered Kosovo escorted by Serbian Gendarmerie, is only a speculation. “Officially, Marko Djuric is not in Mitrovica.

Ivanović’s hunger strike enters eighth day, protests today in North Mitrovica (Kontakt Plus Radio)

The leader of the Civic Initiative SDP Oliver Ivanović has entered the eighth day of hunger strike in detention in North Mitrovica requesting to be released pending trial.

Ivanović decided to go on hunger strike following EULEX court panel’s decision of the Basic Court in Mitrovica to extend his detention for another two months, until 6 October.
