Janjic: ZSO is possible preparation for the partition of Kosovo (RTK2)

Belgrade expects that Pristina will end post-election processes in due time, in order to enable the establishment of the Community of Serbian municipalities (ZSO), said Ivica Dacic, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia. In a statement for RTK2, political analyst Dusan Janjic said that current emphasizing of Serbian politicians that ZSO should include only Serbian municipalities in the north could mean launching of the story on partition of Kosovo.

Warrants for arrest of Stevan Vulovic, Slavisa Ristic (Kontakt plus radio, Tanjug)

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - Acting EULEX Chief Joelle Vachter stated on Sunday that warrants have been issued for the arrest of Zubin Potok Mayor Stevan Vulovic and former mayor Slavisa Ristic.

In an interview for the Mitrovica-based Kontakt Plus radio, Vachter said that Vulovic is suspected of organising escape of several arrestees, while Ristic is charged with endangering UN and accompanying staff and a grave murder.

Vachter said that EULEX will focus its efforts on countering high-level corruption, fight against organised crime and solving war crimes cases.

Political and security situation in northern Kosovo is increasingly unstable, rated today councillors of  four Municipal Assemblies at the meeting convened by emergency procedure.

Having concluded that "EULEX is acting contrary to the entrusted mandate and contrary to the objectives of the international community," councillors concluded that EULEX with its activity in last few months has lost the confidence of those who should protect, which makes impossible further achievement of the objectives of this mission. "

Shooting in the village Boštovo (Kontakt plus radio)

Three persons were injured in a shooting that occurred near the village Boštovo, in the north of Kosovo. KPS spokesman for the southern part of Mitrovica, Avni Haliti told Radio Kontakt Plus that still there is no accurate information about the incident.

"One person was injured, and two injured are in Pristina. It was an incident that happened in the woods on the hill. It is about the shooting, but so far we do not have precise information, details or motives of this," said Haliti.

Session of Municipal Assemblies of northern Kosovo scheduled for today (Kontakt plus radio)

Councillors of four municipalities in northern Kosovo will hold an emergency session today in Zvecan/Zveqan, regarding political and security situation in this part of Kosovo.

The session was scheduled after the meeting held on August 20, at which were present majors, presidents of municipal assemblies, the heads of the provisional institutions of municipalities in northern Kosovo and the chiefs of the district.

Albanian deputies announced the boycott of a joint session, assessing the session as "an open provocation", carried the Kosovo media.

Parallel courts continue functioning in the north together with the illegal formation “civilian defense,” which is successor of one of the paramilitary formations in that part known as “The bridge watchers.”

The 19 April agreement of 2013, reached during the dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade and mediated by Brussels, was considered a major achievement, especially with regards to integration of the north of Kosovo.

Djuric: Serbia firmly with Ivanovic and four accused Serbs (Blic)

“Serbia stands alongside Oliver, Ilija, Dragoljub, Nebojsa and Aleksandar and we are confident that they would prove innocent, in whichever fair procedure,” said Director of the Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric, to the reporters in Kosovska Mitrovica.

At the same time, he added, Serbia is demanding their release pending completion of the court procedure, and that they will be allowed adequate time for the preparation of defence.

Oliver Ivanovic: I'm not guilty (Tanjug)

The leader of the Civic Initiative ‘SDP’ Oliver Ivanovic, before the Municipal Court in Kosovska Mitrovica, has pleaded not guilty regarding the all charges submitted against him for involvement in war crimes in 1999 and 2000. " I am absolutely not guilty," said Ivanovic in response to a question of Judge, Roxana Komsa, if he feels guilty.

The other four accused Serbs, Dragoljub Delibasic, father and son Ilija and Nebojša Vujacic and Aleksandar Lazović also pleaded not guilty for the actions they are charged for.
