Representatives of Chambers of Commerce of Kosovo and Serbia are expected to meet on Saturday in Gracanica, Koha reports. More than 70 entrepreneurs and companies will be present at the meeting. They will discuss different possibilities to improve the cooperation. The president of the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce, Safet Gerxhaliu, and his Serb counterpart Marko Cadez are expected to address the attendees.

The container settlement in Gracanica is for six days without electricity. Unpaid bills are the reason, said KEDS. The residents, mostly displaced and socially vulnerable people, said that they have no money to pay the outstanding debt. In this settlement currently live fifteen families which have no electricity since last Thursday. The power distribution company said that the reason for the exclusion was big debt. GRACANICA - Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Branimir Stojanovic warned on Tuesday that the latest proceedings in Kosovo can jeopardise the survival of Serbs and added that the only solution lies in the constitution of the Community of Serb municipalities. Roma educational center in Gracanica, which eleven years prepares Roma children for further education, is threatened by the closure. The municipality would try to provide funding for the further activities. Due to the lack of donations, the Roma Education Centre in Gracanica earlier this year from thirteen came down to four workers. In the center say they expect support from the municipality, because and other donors would thus get involved in the project.

Ambassador of Norway, Jan Bratu visited the Municipality of Gracanica and with the Mayor Vladeta Kostic spoke about current issues and projects for employment. After the meeting, Bratu said that Mayor informed him about the development plans of the local government. Mayor of Gracanica Vladeta Kostic denied the information published in B92.net, stating that official of Gracanica Municipality is arrested.  As stated, allegations of the news agency Beta mentioning the statement of the spokesperson of the Kosovo Police are not true. "The allegations that have been published on the above mentioned website are not true. None of the officials of Gracanica Municipality was detained within the action of the Kosovo police. Newly elected president of Gracanica Municipality Vladeta Kostic will take over his duties on Thursday, 29 January. The President of the Gracanica Municipal Assembly, Brankica Kostic, has scheduled the inaugural meeting of the Municipal Assembly of Gracanica, at which Vladeta Kostic will be inaugurated. Vladeta Kostic was elected as president of Gracanica in the first round of extraordinary elections held on 18 January, winning 64.83% of the votes.
