Petrov: Time for referendum on Kosovo (KIM radio)

The time has come, maybe, that decision about referendum is mace, where citizens would have their say on whether Kosovo and Metohija should constitutionally still remain part of Serbia, said professor of the constitutional law at the Faculty of Law in Belgrade Vladan Petrov to FoNet agency. Petrov argues that incumbent political leadership has quite wide democratic legitimacy, thus they are absolutely entitled to assess whether the time has come to ‘cut’ current situation, having in mind the real state of affairs in negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina.

Haradinaj: There are no barricades on the bridge (B92)

The leader of the block LDK-AAK-NISMA (Initiative for Kosovo) Ramush Haradinaj said that there are no more barricades on the main bridge over the Ibar/Ibër River  in Kosovska Mitrovica. “I can say, as a future prime minister, that there are no more barricades at Ibar/Ibër River. There is a bit of gravel and some flowers, but no barricades,” said Haradinaj in the TV Kohavision program ‘Rubikon’.

Dačić: UN is Serbia’s chief trump card (IRS)

Serbian First Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Ivica Dačić said that the UN was Serbia’s chief trump card in the process of finding a solution to the Kosmet issue. Kosovo became full-fledged member of the Council of Europe’s Venice Commission, since such membership is not reserved only for CoE members, said Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Kosovo and officer in charge for public information in the cabinet of the Kosovo Prime Minister, Petrit Selimi to Danas.
