Displace Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija dissatisfied with their status in Montenegro (TV Most)

Usurpation of property, security, inefficient justice system and budgetary funding at the local level, breach of the right to use their language and script are the problems of Serbs in ten municipalities where they constitute a majority, says Slavko Simić President of the Serbian List.

Representatives of the Kosovo Assembly caucus from the “Serbian List” have accomplished their visits to municipalities in Kosovo and Metohija where members of the Serbian community live. The head of the caucus Slavko Simić stated that unemployment, property usurpation, inefficient judiciary, security, budgets finances at the local level, disrespect of the law on languages and alphabets are among the most important problems faced by the Serbian community.

It is hard to expect that Association/Community of Serb-majority municipalities will be established in the course of this year, said MP from the ranks of the Serbian List, Nenad Rašić, and put the blame for this on the international community, which should, according to him, strengthen its role in the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.

The leader of the Serbian List, Slavko Simić, today confirmed that his party will participate on the debate on border-demarcation with Montenegro to be held on 3 August. Simić said he supports the public debate and hopes that a concrete solution will come out from the debate. “It should be a technical solution through negotiations… The best way to confront the public is with all the facts and to find a pragmatic solution,” he said.

The leader of the Serbian List, Slavko Simić, accompanied by the chairperson of the Union of Associations of Displaced Persons, Milenko Jovanović, has visited displaced families in Sutomore and Podgorica in Montenegro and acquainted himself with living conditions of those who found shelter in Montenegro after leaving Kosovo in 1999.

Serbian MPs in the Kosovo parliament have filed with the Constitutional Court of Kosovo "a request for verification of the legality of administrative instruction", which provides a new method of registering and exercising pension rights, granted to the citizens over 65 years. The filed request was signed by all 10 MPs of the Serbian List.

Serbian List requests withdrawal of the Law on verification of property (KiM radio)

The head of the parliamentary group the Serbian List Slavko Simić submitted to the Constitutional Court of Kosovo a request for withdrawal of the Law on Agency for Comparison and Verification of Property. The request was signed by the MPs of the Serbian List and MPs from Gorani community.   The main reason for filing a complaint was non-compliance with the procedure provided in the Article 81 of the Constitution of Kosovo, during the adoption of laws concerning the rights of the Serbian community, reads the statement of Serbian list.
