Security Council session of the United Nations, on which will be presented a regular three-month report of the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Kosovo, will be held on 16 November.

Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic met with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon in New York Thursday to discuss the situation in the region, Serbia's European path and the dialogue with Pristina.

The United Nations Security Council on 25 August will discuss the quarterly report of the United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, on the developments in Kosovo. In his report, Ban expressed concern regarding the Kosovo – Serbia relations.  The report, among other things, shows the concern over the stagnation of the integration process, but also the crisis in Kosovo's institutions, as a result of the demarcation process with Montenegro.

UN chief 'underscored his deep concern about the scope of continuing widespread arrests, detentions and suspensions'

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Wednesday expressed deep concern about the ongoing wave of arrests in Turkey since the attempted coup.

Ban told Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu during a telephone conversation that "credible evidence" must be presented swiftly so that the detainees' legal status can be determined by a court of law.

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has expressed concern over the slow pace of implementation of agreements in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue over the past year.

A regular meeting of the United Nations Security Council on Kosovo will be held in New York on Monday.

Serbia will be represented by the country's Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic.

The session will discuss the latest report of UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on the work of the UN mission in Kosovo, UNMIK, and the situation there over the previous three-month period.

The report is expected to be presented by UNMIK chief Zahir Tanin.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon's latest report on Kosovo stressed the importance of establishing the Community / Association of Serb Municipalities (ZSO). Ban welcomed the "continued progress" in Brussels dialogue and agreements that Belgrade and Pristina reached on 25 August, and in particular, he said, the agreement on the establishment of ZSO which, in his opinion, is the "foundation" of the Brussels agreement on the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina, from April 2013.

Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic will meet with United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in New York on Tuesday.

During the day, he will also attend a reception organized by European Council President Donald Tusk, First Vice-President of the European Commission Frans Timmermans, and EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini.

The president is in New York for this year's UN General Assembly session.

UNITED NATIONS: UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said today he was "extremely concerned" about the treatment of migrants and refugees in Europe and called for compassion ahead of a European Union summit on the crisis.

Ban appealed "to all EU leaders to show leadership and compassion" when they meet on Wednesday, said his spokesman in a statement.
