Mogherini: Membership to EU would come with reforms and normalization of relations with Kosovo (European Western Balkans Portal)

Authorities in Belgrade and Pristina must undertake stronger efforts to shed light on the destiny of the missing persons during the war in Kosovo, International Committee of the Red Cross Committee warned at a round-table discussion in Geneva.

Wolfgang Petritsch – To establish Community of Serb Municipalities as soon as possible (Tanjug, Blic)

Former the EU Envoy for Kosovo, Wolfgang Petritsch considers Kosovo, at the moment, goes through difficult phase and it is necessary to continue the dialogue of Belgrade and Pristina at the highest level.

Petritsch stated to Tanjug that Kosovo economically does not progress much, it faces huge unemployment rate in particular among young population, and it represents a serious problem.

He also requested the swift formation of the Community of the Serb Municipalities, as agreed during the dialogue process.

Pristina and Belgrade requested to engage on the fate of the missing (Telegrafi)

The Missing persons’ resource center appealed to Belgrade and Pristina as well as to the international community to nominate senior representatives in order to bring the suffering of the missing persons’ families to an end.

The representative of this center, Bajram Çerkini, said that they urge Pristina and Belgrade to use the information that they possess in order to enlighten the fate of the missing.

McAllister: Belgrade and Pristina not to block each other (Radio KIM)

Rapporteur for Serbia and chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament, David McAllister, said that Belgrade and Pristina are expected to remain committed to dialogue. McAllister pointed out that Belgrade and Pristina are expected not to play "game" of mutual accusations and to refrain from any action that would jeopardize the progress achieved so far in the process.

PM Vucic ready to establish "hotline with Pristina" (B92, Pink)

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday in Davos, Switzerland that "peace and stability have the greatest importance."

In this regard, Vucic added, he was "also ready to establish a hotline between Belgrade - Pristina.

Vucic told TV Pink that he had "many important discussion for Serbia at the World Economic Forum," and underlined that he believes "we will have the strength to calm down certain things - even those that were under no influence of ours whatsoever."

Vučić forbid ministers and government officials to make comments on developments in the region (Blic)

Today's edition of daily Blic reports unofficially that Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić has banned all the ministers, state officials and civil servants to comment on developments in the region.

Vučić has brought this decision due to the events in Kosovo and the train, which was supposed to run on the line Belgrade - Mitrovica, in order to move towards calming the situation in the region, and not towards further escalation of the situation.

Belgrade-Pristina talks to resume Tuesday (media)

This week's round of expert talks between the Belgrade and Pristina delegations will resume in Brussels Tuesday.

The Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija confirmed to Tanjug implementation of the agreements on telecommunications and the judiciary had been addressed on Monday, the first day of the talks, and that Belgrade's delegation once again raised with EU officials the issue of implementing the agreement on forming the Community of Serb Municipalities.
