Vetevendosje MP Albin Kurti sends second letter from prison (Gazeta Blic)

The news site reports that Vetevendosje MP Albin Kurti, who was arrested by Kosovo Police on Saturday, has sent a second letter from the High-Security Prison. In his letter Kurti argues that the Association/Community of Serb-majority municipalities is the next and decisive stage of ruining the state of Kosovo. “The Association is a natural result of the Kosovo Government’s approach. What is the value of Kosovo’s independence if it will be followed by a model similar to that of Bosnia? This government must be stopped.

Four persons arrested in anti-terror operation in Italy and Kosovo (media)

The Tirana-based TV station Top Channel reports that the Italian Police, in cooperation with the Kosovo Police, launched an anti-terror operation in the city of Brescia. Italian authorities said the operation code-named “Van Damme” resulted in the breakup of a terror group that was using social networks to spread the Jihadi ideology. The mastermind of the group, a Kosovo national, was arrested in Kosovo by local police near Hani i Elezit, while the three other suspects were arrested in Italy.

Unnamed sources told the news site that a brawl broke out in Mitrovica North today between members of the Kosovo Police and the so-called Civil Protection after police towed away a vehicle that was inappropriately parked. The source said: “the vehicle that was towed away by Kosovo Police belongs to Danilo Delibasic, an assistant to the chief of the Civil Protection, Stevo Pavicevic. After learning that police were towing away his car, Delibasic accompanied by several members of his organization went to the site and attacked a police officer, Ljubinko Jevtic.

Police arrest NISMA MP Haxhi Shala (Lajmi)

The Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA), one of the opposition parties, confirmed that police have arrested one of its MPs, Haxhi Shala. “We want to inform the public that Kosovo Police have detained MP Haxhi Shala inside the Assembly premises. The Initiative for Kosovo demands the immediate release of MP Haxhi Shala and all other MPs,” the NISMA press release said. The news site reports that Shala activated a teargas canister inside the Assembly earlier in the day.

Police confirms finding of hand grenades and bullets at University Clinical Center of Kosovo (Koha Ditore)

Kosovo Police has informed through a press release to have found two hand grenades and 15 bullets at the Eye Clinic of the University Clinical Center of Kosovo. It also confirmed that exploding devices are removed from the clinic in a controlled manner, in order to return the situation at UCCK to normality. The police received the information for the presence of these devises at 10:30 and immediately undertook all the required measures, including evacuation of the Eye Clinic staff. Specialized units found these devises at the ceiling of the building.

The news site reports that the opposition seems to be mobilizing to protect Vetevendosje MP Albin Kurti following an announcement by the Kosovo Police that they will arrest Kurti on November 28. Kurti, who is wanted by Kosovo Police in relation to incidents in the Kosovo Assembly, is believed to be staying in Gllogjan, the birthplace of Ramush Haradinaj, leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo.

Hoti: Bad electrical installation caused ignition of vehicle (KIM radio)

The fire on the car "Ford Fiesta" owned by journalist of KoSSev Nevenka Medic most likely was caused by bad installation, according to Besim Hoti, Deputy Director of the Regional Police in the North.

"In this case no one was a suspect, since the owner of the vehicle had problems previously with the electrical installation."
