Serb National Forum (SNF) said yesterday it disagrees with the statement of Srpska Lista (SL) that “majority stance” of the Serb population in Kosovo and Metohija is to support any solution Belgrade proposes for the Kosovo issue, Danas daily reported.

Chairperson of Srpska Lista (SL) Goran Rakic told Serbian media that SL representatives met with the President Vucic and spoke about political and security situation in Kosovo. Rakic said he was pleased to hear that the solution for Kosovo would be reached by compromise and in a consultation with the Serb people living in Kosovo and Metohija.

He also underlined they conveyed the message of Serbs from Kosovo support to the President Vucic. “We had enough politics from previous times when Serbs did not have interlocutor in Belgrade,” Rakic said.

Aleksandar Vucic should visit Kosovo and Metohija in early September and address the Serbs there, writes the daily Blic.

This has been agreed during a meeting held between the Serbian president and representatives of Serbs from southern, northern, and central parts of the province, held in Belgrade on Wednesday.

According to the newspaper, one of the most important conclusions of the meeting is that any proposal, position or decision that Belgrade adopts will first be presented to the representatives of Serbs from the province, while their stance will be heard.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met in Belgrade with Serb political representatives from Kosovo and Metohija, Tanjug agency has learnt.

The talks between President Vucic and Srpska Lista representatives are ongoing for more than two hours. The meeting was not announced, and the topic of conversation is presumably development of events in and around Kosovo.

Serbian media earlier reported that Srpska Lista representatives were supposed to meet Director of Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric in Belgrade today.

Srpska Lista reacted to Rada Trajkovic statements (Vecernje Novosti, KoSSev)

Since the founding of Srpska Lista, the biggest attacks on us have come from those who work on coins and who have placed material and personal interests ahead of the national interests, such as Rada Trajkovic, a self-declared styled politician without voters, Srpska Lista said in a statement, Serbian media reported.

Regardless of intentions to present that criminal groups are behind the murder of Oliver Ivanovic, Kosovo based long-term journalist Violeta Oroshi thinks his murder is a political, KIM Radio reported.

“Political segments are behind this murder, regardless of who has carried out the very act of the murder,” Oroshi, who is a German WDR Radio correspondent said, KIM Radio added.

These were the comments of the previously most influential leader of Serbs from North Kosovo, Marko Jaksic, a leader of Serb European Movement and a Professor at the Faculty of Medicine in North Mitrovica, Rada Trajkovic, and journalist and author of „Slobodno srpski“, Budimir Nicic, regarding the murder of Oliver Ivanovic.

“There is no way to justify violence exercised against Srpska Lista representatives and Office for Kosovo and Metohija Director, Marko Djuric in March, and those who ordered and carried out this heinous attack are responsible for the crime against peace,” Office for Kosovo and Metohija press statement said, Serbian media reported.

The statement came as a reaction on Hashim Thaci’s statements made to the Vienna based newspapers Presse that “the case of Marko Djuric was unnecessary” and “it was a provocation by the Serbian authorities.”
