Nenad Rasic: We decide about our destiny (RTK 2)

Progressive Democratic Party (PDS) would make decision on how to participate in the forthcoming local elections, but “what is certain, PDS would have mayor candidates in some municipalities, while in others they would have lists of candidates for MA’s,” stated the leader of the PDS, Nenad Rasic to RTK 2.

Rasic also expressed hope that the situation, similar to those during the parliamentary elections when certain candidates revoke their participation, would not occur again.

Đurić: Srpska Lista is project of national importance (TV Most)

Director of the Serbian Government Office for Kosovo, Marko Đurić had a meeting today in Belgrade with the representatives of the ten Serbian majority municipalities from Kosovo regarding the upcoming local elections in Kosovo and on “how significant it would be for the Srpska Lista to confirm and strengthen the political unity of Serbian people in those elections.”

He also underlined that Srpska Lista will take part in the forthcoming local elections as the only protector of Serbs and Serbia’s interests in Kosovo, with the strong support and full trust of the Serbian Government and President Aleksandar Vucic.

Serbian political representatives in Kosovo did not make any decision on entering into any coalition in the southern Serbian province, stated Chair of the Srpska Lista, Goran Rakic, adding that the eventual vote for the establishment of the presidency and the assembly bodies does not mean support for the establishment of the Kosovo Government.

Chair of Srpska Lista, Goran Rakic and Director of the Serbian Government Office for Kosovo, Marko Djuric met today in Belgrade, Serbian media reported.

Simic also said representatives of the Serb people cannot chose who would represent Albanians within the institutions, as they cannot chose who would represent Serbs.

Srpska Lista in the strongest terms condemns the latest incident in Mitrovica North, in which a vehicle owned by the leader of the Civic Initiative Freedom, Democracy and Justice (GI SDP) Oliver Ivanovic was burned down and calls upon the international community and security structure to swiftly resolve the case.

They also called upon the international community and security structure to raise the security level at the highest level, as the peace and tranquility of the people are of crucial importance for survival of Serbs in Kosovo.

Srpska Lista in the strongest terms condemned incidents by which someone tries to bring disturbance among Serbs in Kosovo, TV Most reported citing Srpska Lista press statement.

“It is obvious someone is bothered over the peace that with heavy efforts, we have achieved during the previous time (…). We call upon all responsible institutions to increase their engagement and provide the safety of the citizens as peace and security are prerequisite for the normalization of life in Kosovo and Metohija.”
