“Authorities started to threaten with war” (BETA, B92)

Serbian opposition Free Citizens Movement (PSG) assessed that the authorities lead by Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) start threatening with the war unless they are allowed to do whatever they want, BETA news agency reported yesterday afternoon.

PSG made these remarks commenting on a statement Director of Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric made for RTS news edition saying there would be conflicts if agreement with Pristina is not reached.

Jankovic, Djuric on Oliver Ivanovic murder (Tanjug, B92)

Members of the opposition Free Citizens Movement (PSG) gathered on Saturday in front of the Serbian Presidency to mark five months since the murder of Oliver Ivanovic, Serbian media reported.

They have gathered to ask the state and its bodies who have murdered Serb politician from Kosovo.

Leader of the Movement, Sasa Jankovic also participated in a gathering, did not want to give the statements to the media and was responding to every journalists’ question with a question “Who has murdered Oliver Ivanovic?”

Jovanovic, Jankovic on Djuric’s arrest in Kosovo (Danas)

Leader of the opposition Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS), Milos Jovanovic thinks that ROSU action in Mitrovica North and utterly humiliating arrest of Serbian Government high official Marko Djuric “is the best warming what Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija awaits in the case of recognition of Kosovo secession,” Danas daily reported.

Jovanovic added that every day, including this latest provocation of Pristina authorities “show a complete failure of the policy on Kosovo by Serbian President and the Government”.

Jankovic met with Mitchell (BETA, B92)

Leader of the opposition Movement of Free Citizens (PSG), Sasa Jankovic told USA State Department official Wess Mitchell “it is an illusion that Kosovo issue can be solved in a dictatorship instead democracy,” Serbian media reported.

Jankovic also added “Mitchell leaves the Balkans obviously more concerned than when he arrived.”

Jankovic said that the Association of Serb Municipalities, the collective rights of Serbs and extraterritoriality of monasteries are achievable.

Sending a letter to the European Commission is for internal use (Danas)

The decision of the Government and the president of the state that Serbia sends a letter to the European Commission with a series of questions regarding the position of the Commission that the cases of Catalonia and Kosovo cannot be compared, is irresponsible and serves for internal political use, representatives of the opposition say, write daily Danas.

Srpska Lista: Peace and security prerequisite for normalization of life in Kosovo (TV Most)

Srpska Lista in the strongest terms condemned incidents by which someone tries to bring disturbance among Serbs in Kosovo, TV Most reported citing Srpska Lista press statement.

“It is obvious someone is bothered over the peace that with heavy efforts, we have achieved during the previous time (…). We call upon all responsible institutions to increase their engagement and provide the safety of the citizens as peace and security are prerequisite for the normalization of life in Kosovo and Metohija.”

Vucic declares first round victory in presidential elections (B92)

SNS leader and Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic has declared his victory in the presidential elections held in Serbia on Sunday, April 2.

The Republic Electoral Commission (RIK) announced on Monday that based on 90.86 percent of electoral material, Vucic won 55.09 percent of the vote.

He is followed by Sasa Jankovic (16.26 percent), Luka Maksimovic (9.04), Vuk Jeremic (5.33), and Vojislav Seselj (4.47), RTS is reporting.
