Chair of Srpska Lista, Goran Rakic stated that Srpska Lista will not attend the consultations about the date of a constitutive session of the Kosovo Assembly.

“As a chair of the Srpska Lista I thank you for the invitation to attend the consultations about the date of a constitutive session of the Kosovo Assembly and I may announce Srpska Lista will not attend that meeting. MPs from Srpska Lista would reply to the call to verify their mandates in line with the law, but we do not want Serb MPs and the population to be placed between hammer and anvil,” Rakic stated.

Srpska Lista will not join the Pristina government at all costs, nor will it stay there. In expectation to form the Kosovo Assembly, verify MPs’ mandates and elect the Assembly Speaker, Srpska Lista that enters the Kosovo Assembly as a political party, has clear goals, it knows what it will not accept, Sputnik reported.

Sputnik further learned Srpska Lista has already prepared “a package” to deliver it to the Kosovo Government when the time comes.

Depending on circumstances and momentum of the Serbian Government attitude towards Kosovo, Slobodan Petrovic, founder of the Autonomous Liberal Party (SLS) sometimes is depicted as a patriot and sometimes as a traitor, Blic daily reports today.

In any case, Petrovic was a politician who realized on time that concrete things for the Serb community could be done through Kosovo institutions.

At the last elections in Kosovo, Srpska Lista won 9 MP seats, while the only party who won 1 seat was SLS.

Chief of Srpska Lista, Media Co-operation Office, Igor Simic, stated yesterday afternoon to Kontakt Plus Radio that the Srpska Lista received invitation, to attend on Monday, consultations on the constitutive session of the Kosovo Assembly.

The invitation came from the Kosovo President Hashim Thaci.

Simic also said the first interest of the Srpska Lista is to advance the position of Serbs, and they are interested to hear what coalition partners could deliver to Serbs living in Kosovo.

Participation of Serbs, in the new government, requesting to have all the rights as stipulated in the Kosovo Constitution, Albanian elite considers as return of Belgrade to this area, Sputnik writes.

Although Ramush Haradinaj, leader of the coalition PAN and winner of the elections in Kosovo, informed Hashim Thaci a week ago, that he has enough votes to form the government, Thaci still did not entrust him a mandate.

Association of Independent Journalists of Serbia (NUNS) and Associations of Journalists of Serbia (UNS) called yesterday upon the leadership of Srpska Lista to refrain from discrimination of the media and to respect the standards of the international conventions on the freedom of the media while communicating with journalists.

Srpska Lista without explanation has decided to boycott an informative portal KoSSev, stated NUNS. adding that Srpska Lista did not invite the portal at its first election convention.

Referring to its sources, daily further reports that Goran Rakic, current mayor of Mitrovica/Mitrovice North municipality would become the new Chair of the Civic Initiative Srpska Lista.

Novosti daily reported that these days, the leaders of major Albanian parties are in the process of intensive negotiations on the formation of the future government in Kosovo, while the representatives of Serbs say they have not yet received any official invitation for consultations.

“No one has contacted us yet, but of course we will talk to everyone and we will strive to provide the best possible position through the central institutions for the interests of the Serbian people in Kosovo” Slavko Simić, President of the Srpska Lista told “Novosti”.

Serbian Government Office for Kosovo Director, Marko Djuric stated Srpska Lista should not hurry and should leave it to the Albanian parties, if they can, to agree about the formation of the future government in Pristina.

“My advice to the Serbian political representatives is to take it slowly. Criminal charges were raised against Secretary of the Pec municipality, temporarily located in the village of Gorazdevac/Gorazhdevc, Milosav Maksic, who is accused of threatening Autonomous Liberal Party (SLS) candidate Sladjana Miletic and tried to force her to give up on her candidacy for the sake of Srpska Lista.

Lawyer, Dejan Vasic, who defends Maksic confirmed this to KIM radio.
