Serbia will not react to a request for Jablanovic dismissal (Danas)

Serbia will not respond to the request of Kosovo's opposition to dismiss the Minister of Returns and Communities, Aleksandra Jablanovic, because the Serbian list was not talking with the opposition movement Self-determination, but with parties with whom is in the government, it is the position of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija regarding Jablanovic dismissal. The Office for Kosovo and Metohija said to Danas that "is clear, when the current political situation in Pristina is concerned, that this is not about Jablanovic, than about the internal political dynamics among the Albanian parties."

Another problem for Mustafa government: Healthcare sector announces strike (Gazeta Blic)

Healthcare workers have announced a one-day strike for 30 January demanding implementation of the Collective Contract. Head of healthcare trade union, Xhemajl Selmanaj, said the strike will be observed throughout the territory of Kosovo but will exclude emergency rooms and basic health services.  He said the obligations from the Collective Contract should be transferred from one government to the next and not be suspended as stated by the Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, Arban Abrashi.

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, informed his Cabinet on Wednesday, at ninth meeting of the Government,  about the decision on the appointment of the Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, Arban Abrashi, as spokesperson of the government of Kosovo. “The government of the Republic of Kosovo remains committed to further strengthening the cooperation with the media and civil society, towards the transparency and right information to the citizens of Kosovo,” stresses a press release issued by the government of Kosovo.

A dangerous overture (Zeri)

The paper’s editor-in-chief, Arbana Xharra, considers that the weekend’s protest in Gjakova/Djakovica against the Serbian Minister in the Kosovo government, Aleksandar Jablanovic, can very easily move to in front of the government building in Pristina if the Prime Minister, Isa Mustafa, continues to tolerate Jablanovic’s behavior. Government backs down, changes the changed bill for Trepca (Koha Online)

The Government of Kosovo held its seventh meeting today, where it approved the Draft Law for Amendment and Change of the Law on Reorganization and Change of Certain Enterprises and Their Property.

The purpose of this bill is to improve the timeliness for the reorganization of certain enterprises under the administration of the Privatization Agency of Kosovo, for the purpose of rehabilitation of these enterprises and the return of their sustainability as profitable and beneficial businesses to the economy of Kosovo.

Deputy Prime Minister Branimir Stojanovic and Minister of Communities and Returns, Aleksandar Jablanovic, ignored today the meeting of the Government of Kosovo, led by Prime Minister Isa Mustafa. Instead they joined Serb population gathered in Pasjane to wait on the Prime Minister of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic. At the same time, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, did not allow the Minister for Diaspora, Valon Murati, to express at the meeting of the Government his opinion on Jablanovic’s insult for the mothers of Gjakova/Djakovica a few days ago, when he called them “beasts.”
