Leader of the opposition People's Party Vuk Jeremic said, while visiting the village Pasjane on Saturday that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic must not be allowed to make a "demarcation" deal which would be equal to recognizing Kosovo as an independent state, reported Kontakt plus radio.

According to the party's press release, Jeremic made the statement while meeting with the residents of the village of Pasjane, Gnjilane region.

Employees in the Health Center Gnjilane today suspended work at the medical institution for an hour in protest to the imposed additional taxes from Pristina on the imports of goods from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Further work and functioning of the health center is questioned, it was said from the protest rally in front of the Pasjane hospital.

Police Director for the Gnjilane region, Emina Mahmuti, told RTV Puls that the Kosovo Police introduced twelve-hour working hours and reinforced the activities of securing cultural, religious and historical facilities.

Members of the special forces of the Kosovo police, armed with long pipes, arrested and then released five Serbs.

The police this morning infiltrated the premises of the Cultural and Educational Center "Bozidar Mitrovic Sandor" in Silovo near Gnjilane and searched several houses in that town.

Serbian media this morning reports about the action of the special units of the Kosovo police in the Gnjilane region.

Media reports that Kosovo police raided the premises of the Cultural and Educational Center "Bozidar Mitrovic Sandor" in Silovo near Gnjilane. Radio television of Serbia (RTS) reports that three Serbs were detained in action.

The tragedy was afterwards followed by anger, despair and outbursts that took place mainly on social media. Nevertheless it was obvious that people were affected by this event and as such the tragedy made a social impact and gathered much attention.
