School in Rabovce, near Lipljan pelted with stones, incident condemned (RTV KIM, Radio kontakt plus)

Part of the school building “Braca Aleksic” used by the Serb pupils in the village of Rabovce was pelted with stones again on Tuesday evening, RTV KIM reports. During the incident four windows on the school were broken.

Mayor of Gracanica, Srdjan Popovic visited the school yesterday, saying such scenes are disappointing and take us back to the past. Popovic urged the police to better and more efficient do its job, expressing hope perpetrators, as it was the case in previous incident, will be found. The school in Rabovce was the target of several attacks in the last period.

Two Serb houses in centre of Vitina stoned (Tanjug, FoNet, RTS, RTV Puls)

Two Serb houses were stoned last night, after the midnight, in the centre of Vitina, Serbian media reported today.

One house belongs to Slobodanka Savic, while the other one belongs to a Kosovo police inspector, working in Gnjilane, Aleksandar Jacovic, whose car’s windshield is also broken, media further reported.

The cases are reported to the Kosovo police and there are no injuries apart from material damage caused.

Following the March pogrom in 2004, around 40 Serbs remained living in Vitina.

“Whenever dialogue continues, provocation appears” (RTS, Tanjug, B92, Politika)

It is not the first time that when a dialogue in Brussels continues, something happens on the ground to intentionally provoke and divert us from the main goal – talks about the Association of the Serb Municipalities, Secretary General of the Serbian President, Nikola Selakovic told media commenting on the arrest of a returnee, Milorad Zajic in Klina under charges of alleged war crimes.

Selakovic also recalled the arrest of Bogdan Mitrovic from Suva Reka municipality last year, who was visiting his place of origin for the last ten years.

Djuric: Pristina does not have new information on Ivanovic murder (Politika)

Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija Director, Marko Djuric told Politika daily that Pristina did not submit any information related to the murder of a leader of Civic Initiative, Freedom, Democracy, Justice, Oliver Ivanovic.

Djuric said he would like to see, instead of pointing fingers that Pristina institutions offer at least one concrete and relevant response and approach the cooperation, Serbian media reported.

Serbian Government Office for Kosovo Deputy Director, Dusan Kozarev, said that even incidents that might appear minor as cattle thefts or burning of haystakes belonging to the Serbs in Kosovo, demand a decisive action, foremost that of the international community, as such attacks always aim to create an environment of uneasiness and fear, Tanjug news agency reported.

Arrest of three Serbs is violation of freedom of movement and voters rights (TV Most)

The Serbian Government Office for Kosovo issued a press release yesterday strongly protesting over the legal violence against Saša Aranđelović, Dejan Urošević and Goran Savković, arrested on October 22 at Jarinje administrative crossing point due to alleged suspicion they were transporting explosive materials, TV Most reported.

Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija is “appalled with the prolongation of Bogdan Mitrovic’s agony, who was arrested at the end of August, in the Suva Reka municipality under false charges that he had participated in war crimes,” Serbian media reported citing the press statement from the Office for Kosovo.

The statement further reads witnesses in their testimonies given so far have confirmed that Mitrovic is innocent, thus confirming that he is the victim of lack of justice and legal violence, and his detention was extended, without any grounds, for two more months.

Russian NGO teams up with Kosovo Office to assist Serbs (Tanjug, B92)

The NGO Russian Humanitarian Mission, in cooperation with the Serbian Government's Office for Kosovo, will start helping Serbs in Kosovo.

Kosovo and Metohija (KiM) Office Marko Djuric and the NGO's regional head Branimir Nesic signed on Monday in Belgrade a memorandum of cooperation in realizing humanitarian and charity programs.

According to this memorandum, the Russian Humanitarian Mission, in cooperation with the government, will offer Serbs in the province assistance in the fields of education, health and welfare.

Djuric: Set free arrested Serbian and Russian citizens (Radio Free Europe)

Serbian Government Office for Kosovo Director, Marko Djuric requested today immediate release of a group of Russian and Serbian citizens arrested near Podujevo.

Djuric said their release is intentionally postponed under the excuse that the court has too much work to do, to be able to deal with their case.

“I want to emphasise that a pregnant woman and an underage person are among arrested, which makes this unnecessary mistreatment of the Serbian and Russian citizens even more inhuman,” Djuric said.
