Serbian president asks China for help (B92, Tanjug)

Aleksandar Vucic informed Chinese Ambassador Li Manchang about "the danger of the announced formation of the army of the so-called Kosovo on December 14."

Vucic asked Li to, as a friend of Serbia, "regularly report to the Chinese leadership on the development of the situation in Kosovo and Metohija," the Serbian president's cabinet said in a press release on Tuesday.

The Association of Journalists of Serbia (UNS) and the Association of Journalists of Kosovo and Metohija (DNKiM) again urge Pristina to stop restricting the rights of the Serbian people in Kosovo to the information on their mother tongue and to urgently ensure unhindered distribution of the print media. Serbian Minister of Health condemns prevention of humanitarian aid delivery (Tanjug, B92)

Serbian Minister of Health, Zlatibor Loncar in the strongest terms condemned Pristina’s decision to stop humanitarian aid dedicated to the Health Centre in Mitrovica North, Tanjug news agency reported.

Minister Loncar also urged the international community to react to this gross violation of fundamental human rights.

They are protesting against the 100% custom taxes imposed on Serbian products arriving into Kosovo. Hahn does not have an officially scheduled meeting with them.

Serbian NGOs sent open letter to international community (TV Most)

Seventeen Serbian Non-Governmental Organizations in an open letter to the international community expressed serious concern about the violation of the human rights of Serbian minority in Kosovo, TV Most reports.

The recent decision of Kosovo Government to impose 100% taxes on imported goods from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina has a huge negative impact on the Serb community in Kosovo, the NGOs warned.

Ljajic: Only political pressure of international community can bring solution (Tanjug, Dnevnik)

Serbian Minister of Trade and Telecommunications, Rasim Ljajic said that only political pressure and decisive reaction of the international community can resolve the issue created by Pristina’s decision to impose 100 percent taxes on the goods from central Serbia, Tanjug news agency reported.

He noted it is logical to expect, the prices in the shops would rise, following Pristina’s measures, but Serbia would do its utmost that Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija have the necessary products supplied.

Court employees in Mitrovica back to work (Danas, KoSSev)

Employees of the Basic Court in Mitrovica, located in the north, have returned to their work, which they interrupted on Tuesday as a sign of solidarity with citizens protesting the introduction of 100 percent taxes on the goods from central Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, KoSSev portal reports.

It was also reported that staff members have returned to their duties, and it is expected all hearings to be held as per schedule.

Insufficient reserves of oxygen, reserves of medicaments in the south on verge (B92, Radio KIM, RTS)

Reserves of oxygen for patients in the north of Kosovo are small and insufficient, Director of the Health Centre in Mitrovica North, Milan Ivanovic said, Radio KIM Reports.

“There are reserves now, however, they are insufficient and won’t last long. I hope that we would stabilize supply of oxygen in the coming days,” Milan Ivanovic said, following the meeting with the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in Belgrade yesterday.

Meanwhile, workers of the health sector in the north but also in other Serb areas in Kosovo would protest today at noon.

“If taxes are not lifted, there would be serious issue with medical supply” (RTS, Tanjug, B92)

Patients who visit the health institutions in Kosovo and Metohija would receive all necessary help and medicament and it would be like that in the following days, Serbian Minister of Health, Zoran Loncar said.

However, he warned if the blockade continues there would be a serious problem, since health institutions in Kosovo and Metohija would not be able to function.

He also added, the state of Serbia thinks about its citizens and would provide what is necessary in order to avoid humanitarian disaster.
