“Russia will prevent membership of Kosovo in all international organizations” (BETA, TV N1, TV Pink)

Russian Ambassador to Serbia, Alexander Botsan-Kharachenko said during the meeting with Serbian Internal Affairs Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic that Kosovo is integral part of Serbia and Moscow would continue supporting Serbia in preventing Kosovo to join not only Interpol, but all international institutions, Serbian media report. The two officials assessed that the two countries have very good cooperation in the field of security, the Serbian Interior Ministry said in a statement.

Future of Belgrade-Pristina dialogue is very much uncertain because it is not known what the further development of the situation in Kosovo and Metohija would look like, Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic assessed, B92 reports. He added that at the end of August new visits by international officials to Serbia might be expected, new initiatives and new assessments of the situation in Kosovo.

Dacic on Pristina’s Interpol bid – It will face same as last year (Tanjug, B92, Kurir)

Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister commented on new Kosovo attempt to join Interpol by saying that Pristina would face the same as last year, Tanjug news agency reported. “As a matter of fact, they would face the same. They would lose again,” Dacic told Kurir. The Interpol General Assembly session takes place this year in Chile. B92 recalled that Chile does not recognize Kosovo, nor it recognizes Kosovo passports.

Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Serbia Valery Brylev confirmed his country remains against Kosovo membership in Interpol, as was the case during the voting last year, the Serbian Internal Affairs Ministry said in a statement. “Respecting the international law, United Nations Security Council Resolution and the Interpol rules must be a priority at this year’s voting as well,” Ambassador Brylev said after the meeting with Serbian State Secretary Biljana Popovic-Ivkovic.   

Dacic: Peru recognized Kosovo; however, it supports us in Security Council (RTS, TV N1)

Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic assessed his visit to Peru as of historic importance, since it is in the interest of Serbia to renew relations with this country, RTS reports. He added, strategic relations between the two countries and Serbia’s presence in this region are the most important topics to discuss. “From such friendly relations a friendly attitude related to the problems Serbia has with Kosovo would come out,” Dacic noted.

Serbian List: Unfounded warrant, no evidence (KIM radio)

The Serbian List says that announcements of calling for an international arrest warrant have no legal significance but represent a political attack on the deputy leader of the List Milan Radoicic, reports KIM radio.

The Serbian List says that Pristina is not a member of the Interpol, as it is not a member of the UN, therefore cannot call an international warrant, rather UNMIK must do it.

Jokanovic: Question is if Interpol would accept what was issued (Radio KIM)

Following the media reports that Pristina has issued an international arrest warrant for Srpska Lista Deputy Chair, Milan Radojicic, his lawyer Zivojin Jokanovic in a phone statement to RTV KIM said that anyone can issue a warrant, however the question is would Interpol accept it or not. Jokanovic also said he has not been officially informed about issuing an arrest warrant against his client.
