Marko Djuric in Mitrovica North at Srpska Lista ceremonial session (KoSSev)

Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija Director, Marko Djuric would attend Srpska Lista ceremonial session in Mitrovica North today, KoSSev portal reported.

Srpska Lista marks today anniversary of its establishment, while ceremonial session would be held at Technical Faculty, starting at noon, Serbian media reported.

GI SDP: 1730 citizens have signed petition (Radio kontakt plus)

Civic Initiative Freedom, Democracy, Justice (GI SDP) announced they have submitted a petition signed by 1,730 citizens to name the square or Sutjeska Street after leader of this initiative, Oliver Ivanović who perished tragically, Radio kontakt plus reported.

The petition was submitted on Thursday, last week, at Mitrovica North Municipal Assembly session.

Petronic: Security has deteriorated, there are bigger problems than the bridge (Kontakt plus radio)

Director of Human Centre Mitrovica NGO, Veroljub Petronic told Radio Kontakt that the latest events in Staro Gracko are only one of the few security risks that contribute to the worsening of the overall security situation in Kosovo. He says in an interview with the radio that event in Staro Gracko last night was just one of the “small corps of security risks that contribute to the destabilization of the security situation in Kosovo”.

Molotov cocktail thrown at the house of a KP investigator in Zvecan (KIM radio)

Unknown attackers threw a Molotov cocktail on Saturday night at the house of the police investigator Milan Ristovic, located in the village of Zerovnica, in the municipality of Zvecan, reports KIM radio.

Apart from the material damage, no one was injured, and the police is investigating the incident.

The radio recalls that Ristic’s car was set on fire and burned about a month ago, and the perpetrators are still not caught.

Head of EU Office in Pristina, Nataliya Apostolova said today she cannot tell the precise date as to when the works on Ibar Bridge would be completed, since it depends on technical issues and weather conditions, Kontakt plus radio reported.

Apostolova noted that the Ibar Bridge is one of the Brussels agreements, and according to her, it is one of the most visible and most spectacular project within the dialogue implementation.

She thanked the mayor of Mitrovica North, Goran Rakic and municipal administration over their constructive approach.

Belgrade-based portal Insajder journalist Senka Vlatkovic-Odavic said in “Slobodno srpski” broadcast journalists should more actively deal with the case of Oliver Ivanovic murder, KIM Radio reported.

She thinks Ivanovic’s murder is political and no one should remain silent, and this should be the topic of high interests for the journalists.

Attack on Radio Belgrade and KoSSev portal journalists in Kosovo condemned (Radio Belgrade, Tanjug, KIM Radio, RTS)

An incident in which an Albanian tried to grab away recording equipment from Serbian journalists occurred on Sunday in Mitrovica North, during the visit of Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija Director, Marko Djuric, Serbian media reported.

Marko Djuric strongly condemned the attack against Radio Belgrade and KoSSev journalists, saying it indicates that political climate towards Serbs and free and unbiased reporting is bad, adding some people feel free to endanger even the physical integrity of journalists.

Law on women’s property rights advanced, but not implemented (Kontakt plus radio)

Kosovo law on women’s property rights is very advanced, but its non-implementation in the practice is an issue, participants in a debate organized in EU Info Centre in Mitrovica North agreed, Kontakt plus radio reported.

Ruzica Simic, Director of NGO “Zensko parvo” said women in accordance with the law, have equal rights to property, however, traditional narratives represent a great obstacle in the implementation of the law.

Rakic: No preconditions for opening the bridge (RTS, Tanjug)

The insistence of Maja Kocijancic on the opening of the bridge in Mitrovica  "without delay", as she said, was not based either on what was agreed in Brussels nor on the valid assessment of the situation on the ground, assessed the president of the Serb List Goran Rakic, reports Serbian national broadcaster RTS.
