Veseli: I wouldn’t want this but the special court will be established (Kosovapress)

Although the new Kosovo Assembly Speaker, Kadri Veseli, was one of the leading figures of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), he said that he will put to vote the draft law on establishment of the special court. This, according to Veseli, will be done to clear all suspicions one the KLA just war. In an interview for Klan Kosova, Veseli admitted that from the personal point of view, voting on the special court will be difficult but added that this legal entity has to be established to get to the bottom of allegations against KLA.

Mustafa: Coalition with PDK for the interest of the state (Kosovapress)

Isa Mustafa, the Prime Minister of Kosovo tried through a post on his Facebook profile to clarify to the public opinion and voters of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK,) the reason for the coalition with the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK.) Mustafa stressed that he was obliged to reach the coalition, being that none of the parties had the majority of votes that would allow them to create the government on their own.

Mustafa: Coalition will break if I don’t become prime minister (Kosovapress)

The Leader of Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Isa Mustafa, said that finalization of power-sharing agreement with Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) will happen very soon. He said his party would not enter a coalition with anyone if the post of prime minister doesn’t go to LDK. He said the government programme will be agreed upon today or tomorrow. However, Mustafa did not specify whether the ministries will be equally divided between the two parties and whether the party that gets the post of prime minister will get less ministries.

Students from the north, interested to work in Kosovo courts (KosovaPress)

472 thousand euros for the Advancement of Women's Rights in Kosovo (KosovaPress)

The Austrian Development Agency (ADA) has offered 472 thousand euros, as financial support for three years, for the Initiative for the Advancement of Women's Rights, writes KosovaPress. According to the news website, the purpose of this initiative is to improve the capacity of civil society organizations (CSOs) led by women and to support, protect and promote the rights and interests of women and girls.
