Albanian PM backs Serbian-Albanian commerce chamber (B92)

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has confirmed he will support the establishment of a Serbian-Albanian Chamber of Commerce.

This organization is meant to ensure a more efficient communication and cooperation between businesspeople.

The Chamber will contribute to improving trade, investment and economic ties between the two countries, according to a statement issued by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS), carried by Beta.

Kosovo’s President, Atifete Jahjaga, met today in Tirana with Albania’s President, Bujar Nishani. “Thanks to Albania’s support, Kosovo is involved in regional summits and international initiatives. Albania has supported Kosovo's integration processes and accession to international institutions,” Jahajga said after the meeting. Jahjaga also stressed that with the agreements reached in the Pristina – Belgrade dialogue, Serba is moving towards recognition of Kosovo’s independence.

Special meeting on Nis-Pristina-Durres highway (Tanjug)

A meeting on the construction of Nis-Pristina-Durres highway was held Thursday ahead of the Western Balkans Summit in Vienna.

The meeting was attended by Serbian and Albanian Prime Ministers, Aleksandar Vucic and Edi Rama respectively, Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa, Austrian Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz, President of the European Investment Bank Werner Hoyer and President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Suma Chakrabarti.

Serbian-Albanian relations key to regional stabilization (KIM radio, Tanjug)

Improving Serbia-Albania relations is a key to a stable Western Balkans, said the participants of the panel discussion “Future(s) of Security Normalization among Belgrade-Pristina-Tirana” held on Thursday.

Significant progress has been made in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue and in the Belgrade-Tirana relations over the past three years, the participants concluded.

Research has shown that citizens in all three societies support the dialogue, said Sonja Stojanovic Gajic, Director of the Belgrade Centre for Security Policy.
