The leader of the Serbian List Aleksandar Jablanović announced that Community of Serbian municipalities (ZSO) will be formed in a few months and that it will have executive powers. Jablanović did not want to give details about the powers of the Community, adding that Community needs to be established as soon as possible. Political representatives of the region Trentino – South Tyrol claim that their model of autonomy can be "exported" to other countries, and exactly this "model" has attracted the attention of the Serbian Steering team in drafting the Statute of the future Community of Serbian municipalities in Kosovo (ZSO). How the model works in practice, explains Thomas Widmann, president of the Parliament of South Tyrol: “Autonomous Region of Trentino – South Tyrol consist of two provinces - Trentino and Bolzano. The region has a legal status within the political structure of the Republic of Italy.

“In preparing the draft Statute of the Community of Serbian municipalities (ZSO), we used elements of different models of the European regions. The South Tyrol drew the most attention and I can say that it is closest model to the ZSO,” said the coordinator of the management team for establishing the ZSO, Ljubomir Maric. In its structure, the ZSO will have four municipalities in the north and six south of the Ibër/Ibar river, and the plan is the establishment of two more - Gora and Prilužje. Each of them will decide independently on the accession to the ZSO and will have the delegates.

Adoption of the Constitutional Law on Kosovo will most likely be on the agenda after Belgrade and Pristina resolve key outstanding issues, because that regulation will reflect the agreements reached in Brussels.
