Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic received in Belgrade today Slovakian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs as well as Chairman of the OSCE Miroslav Lajcak, Serbian media reported.
During the meeting, President Vucic expressed serious concern over events in the north of Kosovo and Metohija and warned that Pristina by unilateral and provocative acts causes tensions and deterioration of the security situation.
Milos Zeman, the Czech Republic’s President, said on Friday he did not exclude the possibility of Prague’s withdrawal of the recognition of Kosovo’s independence, adding “it would be difficult, but still one day” not impossible, the Beta news agency reported.
In an interview with Parlamentnji Listi, a pro-Russian website, Zeman, whose administrative role is more of a ceremonial one, while decisions on such things are within the Government responsibility, has said that “war criminals shouldn’t lead any country in Europe.”
Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said today the statement of Kosovo Foreign Affairs Minister Behgjet Pacolli that she would be banned to enter Kosovo goes in line with Pristina’s policy, Danas daily reports.
“People who are ready to ban flow of goods, are also ready to ban freedom of movement,” Brnabic said after the meeting with Slovakia Prime Minster Peter Pellegrini.
She said this goes contrary to the interests of Albanians and also civilization values.
Slovakia is explicitly opposed to the transformation of the Kosovo Security Forces into an armed force, Slovak Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini has said.
Prime Minister Ana Brnabic underlined on Friday that Serbia highly appreciates Slovakia's partnership and support on the country's path to EU membership.
During her meeting in Belgrade on Friday with Slovak Deputy Prime Minister for Investments and Information Richard Rasi, Brnabic also informed the Slovak minister about "the latest provocations and unacceptable actions of the provisional institutions of self-government in Pristina."
First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic on Friday spoke with Slovak Defense Minister Peter Gajdos.
According to the Serbian government, Dacic and Gajdos "assessed that bilateral relations of the two countries are traditionally good and friendly."
The officials "expressed mutual satisfaction with the intense and continuous political dialogue at all levels, and expressed interest in further deepening all aspects of bilateral, especially military cooperation."
Belgrade-based daily Vecernje Novosti writes today that Sofia is carefully polishing the format of forthcoming Sofia Summit, in order not to hurt sensibility of states which have not recognized unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo.
Their message is clear, there would be no room for any kind of Kosovo „statehood“ there.
Spokesman for the Bulgarian EU presidency Genoveva Chervenakova says to Belgrade based daily Vecernje Novosti that Bulgaria will fully respect the status neutrality of Kosovo at the EU-Western Balkans summit to be organized in May.
