Serbian List (SL) MP in Kosovo Assembly Igor Simic told TV Pink this morning that SL expects the representatives of the international community to react to the latest threats of Pristina regarding the arrests, and pointed out, “it is unacceptable to threaten the legal and legitimate representatives of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija”.

“Based on what would they arrest anyone? Because he/she acts in accordance with the laws, with the obligations that Pristina did not want to fulfil?” Simić told TV Pink.

BIRN Kosovo's Kallxo website has protested after police expelled its reporter, Taulant Osmani, from the Kosovo parliament while he was following the stalled vote on the demarcation agreement with Montenegro.

Head of Vetevendosje's parliamentary group, Glauk Konjufca said that the citizens need to know that if border demarcation agreement passes, Kosovo will lose territory to Montenegro. He said the opposition should not be blamed for this but rather those who have signed the agreement in the first place.

Avdullah Hoti, head of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) parliamentary group, said in his word at the Kosovo Assembly expressed the view of the party that the voting on the border demarcation agreement should not commence without ensuring there is consensus. “This is a very important issue and the session should not begin without reaching consensus on how to move forward,” Hoti said.

Head of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) parliamentary group, Memli Krasniqi, said at today’s Assembly session that his party supports the voting of the border demarcation agreement being voted today. He said it was regrettable that at this stage in the process there are disagreements between certain parties on terminology aspects which do not affect the substance of the agreement.

Ahmet Isufi, head of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) parliamentary group, said that his party’s efforts were focused on correcting the 2015 border demarcation agreement with Montenegro and that the current draft law sent to the MPs addresses these concerns. He said the agreement should be voted as soon as possible and pave way for visa liberalisation.

Bilall Sherifi, head of the Social Democratic Initiative (NISMA) parliamentary group, said parties need to reach consensus on the way forward regarding the border demarcation issue but stressed that the report of the government’s commission headed by former LDK MP, Shpejtim Bulliqi, needs to be an integral part of the agreement. He said NISMA in principle supports postponing today’s vote in the hope that this would provide a viable opportunity for the parties to reach consensus on the issue.

Kosovo Assembly decided today to postpone the border demarcation vote for next week. MPs endorsed the proposal to reschedule new session on Wednesday, February 28. Of a total of 90 votes cast, 60 supported the motion to postpone.

Kosovo Assembly President, Kadri Veseli, announced that the vote on border demarcation agreement with Montenegro has been postponed for tomorrow. Veseli said he was optimistic that parliamentary parties will reach consensus on the issue and that "we are on the right track". Klan Kosova reports that the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) has conditioned its vote with the removal of the government commission’s report authored by its former MP, Shpejtim Bulliqi, while the Serbian List has announced it will vote against the agreement.

Kosovo Assembly chairmanship has decided not to forward the border demarcation agreement to the Assembly for vote in its next plenary session, media report. President of the Assembly, Kadri Veseli, said after the meeting of the chairmanship that the issue of border demarcation requires broad political consensus.
