Father Sava: We do not trust the police (KiM radio)

Abbot of Visoki Decani Monastery, Father Sava Janjic, believes that the security, political and economic situation in Kosovo is extremely unstable. "This incident reveals the need for Kosovo institutions and politicians in Pristina to address the social causes of religious extremism which threaten the future of all people living in Kosovo, instead of dealing with the non-existent threat in the form of the Association / Community of Serb Municipalities," said Djuric.

Two men wounded in Mitrovica shooting (Dailies)

Local hospital informed Tanjug that a young Serb man was seriously wounded in a shooting late Sunday in Kosovska Mitrovica. Another 21-year old man sustained minor injuries, the agency said. Health Center Director Milan Ivanovic told Tanjug that the seriously wounded man, S.C., has undergone an operation after being shot in the chest and the abdomen.

The government of Kosovo issued today a press release to refute recent reporting of some media based on the announcements of NGO “Kosovo Center for Security Studies”, that the military radar in Kopaonik mountain, bombed by NATO forces in 1999 has been reactivated.  “The government of Kosovo has communicated officially with KFOR and received official confirmation on the issue. KFOR within its competencies commences regular inspections of the location of the demolished radar, to verify its condition.

Air Traffic Control of Serbia and Montenegro will take all legal steps to regain full control of airspace over Kosovo, because it meets all the technical, organizational, personnel requirements, said director of flight control of Serbia and Montenegro (SMATSA), Radojica Rovčanin.
