Hashim Thaci’s calmness (Zeri)

Editor in chief of this daily, Arbana Xharra, considers that current calmness of the Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci is quite reasonable, “being that he has always had a plan B and that he calculates every single move in advance.” She considers that except for Vetevendosje, Thaci knows all the other opposition leaders very well because he has trapped them at least once.

“He knows very well that the current blockade by the opposition is not related to the Association or Demarcation, because these two issues cannot be undone.

Thaci: Kuwait supports Kosovo’s UNESCO admission (Kosovapress)

Kosovo’s Principal Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Hashim Thaci, met today with the Kuwaiti Ambassador in Tirana, Najeeb A. Al-Bader, and thanked him for Kuwait’s support for Kosovo’s UNESCO admission. A press release issued by the Kosovo Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that the meeting also focused on furthering economic cooperation between the two countries.

Thaci in Paris for Kosovo's membership at UNESCO (Koha.net)

The Principal Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hashim Thaci, concluded his official visit to the Great Britain and traveled today to Paris, France to meet the delegates of the UNESCO Executive Council member countries. Thaci informed about his visit on his Facebook account: “I came to Paris to meet and coordinate with the delegates of the majority of the UNESCO member countries. Lobbying for Kosovo’s membership at UNESCO remains priority of Kosovo’s diplomacy.”

Kosovo to form secretly its own army (Blic)

In the middle of the key phase of dialogue with Belgrade and without permission of the Kosovo Serbs, Hashim Thaci and Isa Mustafa decided to form their own army. 

Blic writes that Thaci and Mustafa prepared secret plan on transforming Kosovo Security Force into an army, by amending current laws. For this they need a simple majority in parliament. This way the Srpska List would be bypassed, because for the formation through amendment of the Constitution of Kosovo necessary would be the votes of Serbs.

Grabovci: Thaci to become President in 2016 (RTKLive)

The head of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) parliamentary group, Adem Grabovci, told TV Dukagjini that the leader of the PDK, Hashim Thaci, would be the next President of Kosovo.  Grabovci said he was conviced that the PDK – LDK agreement for Kosovo’s President would be fully respected.  In regards to the protests announced by opposition parties against the agreements reached with Serbia, Grabovci said that the opposition is trying to take the government illegally and will protest for their own interests.

Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Hashim Thaci, met today with the new commander of KFOR troops, Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta. “Deputy Prime Minister Thaci briefed COMKFOR Miglietta on the achievements in Kosovo, with special emphasis on the developments of the last month. DPM Thaci said Kosovo has excellent relations with its neighbors and that it has started the process of normalization of relations with Serbia that contributes to peace and stability in the region,” a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted.

Thaci: Kosovo is a safe country (RTK/Handelsblatt)

Kosovo’s Principal Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Hashim Thaci, is calling on the people of Kosovo to be patient and not to seek asylum in other European countries. In an interview for German newspaper Handelsblatt, Thaci said the situation in Kosovo is stable and that there is no social reason for people to flee the country. “Kosovo is a safe country where there is respect for human rights, therefore, there is no reason to seek asylum in Germany,” Thaci said. He called for more economic aid for Kosovo from European countries.
