Selimi: Mustafa’s signature will become invalid with the petition (KosovaPress)

Rexhep Selimi, Assembly deputy from Vetevendosje movement responded to the statement of the Prime Minister of Kosovo Isa Mustafa, that the petition against the agreements reached in Brussels are being signed by those who are not well informed. “The Prime Minister should know that the citizens are very much aware of what they are signing. The Prime Minister is pretty much confusing and misbalanced in his public statements. The citizens are not uninformed, even though the Prime Minister would want very much to be the case.

The three leaders of the united opposition in Kosovo, Visar Ymeri (Vetevendosje), Ramush Haradinaj (AAK) and Fatmir Limaj (NISMA), signed today the petition which requests rejection of the recent agreements reached in Brussels between Pristina and Belgrade and demarcation of the border with Montenegro.

After signing the petition, AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj said that the reached agreements do not harm Kosovo only politically, but on the judicial and economic aspects as well.

Avoiding responsibility (Kosova Sot)

The paper in its front-page editorial today writes that taking responsibility to govern a country also means accountability to the relevant bodies and to the public. "Avoiding reporting on Brussels agreements showed political weakness by Prime Minister Isa Mustafa. Sooner or later, the negotiators of agreements with Serbia will have to give accountability to the Assembly. The Assembly has to set more rigorous rules, so that government officials are forced to report and be held accountable on any matter of importance to the citizens.”

During the first autumn session meeting of the Assembly Chairmanship, the representatives of the opposition insisted on the possibility to abolish the agreements reached in Brussels between Pristina and Belgrade, while the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), was in favor of Prime Minister’s reporting on these agreements at one of the future session.

Vetevendosje to oppose agreement on telephone code "by all means" (Koha)

The Vetevendosje Movement through a press release announced that it will oppose by all means the execution of the agreement on the telephone code that was signed between Kosovo and Serbia on 25 August. “Kosovo's path to obtain international telephone code is by applying for membership on the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in Geneva. This route does not pass through Belgrade nor through Vienna,” notes the press release. “ITU is a UN agency, same as UNESCO.

The paper’s Brussels-based correspondent Augustin Palokaj in an opinion piece recalls that Kosovo’s Minister without portfolio, Edita Tahiri, said that Serbia’s Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic signed an agreement with Kosovo with the acronym “Republic of Kosovo” written on the documents. “Surprisingly in the EU they say that ‘this is true’, but in the same way Kosovo’s Prime Minister Isa Mustafa signed agreements which say that everything in the territory of Kosovo is property of the Republic of Serbia,” Palokaj writes.

Vetevendosje movement considers that the agreement signed by the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, gives Serbia full rights to control municipalities with Serb majority, and leads Kosovo towards its federalization. They also consider that this agreement will make Kosovo dysfunctional and a great part of the territory will be managed by Serbian state. Also, according to them, Kosovo will lose many natural resources, which will make its economic development impossible.

 An organization called “Active students” informs that on its initiation of activities at six Pristina high schools, by setting fabric billboards against the Association of the municipalities with Serb majority, signed in Brussels between the Pristina and Belgrade governments.

“Active students” inform that the activities have been initiated at “Sami Frasheri”(social sciences), “Sami Frasheri” (natural sciences), Xhevdet Doda”, “Medial School Ali Sokoli”, “28 Netori” and “Agriculture School”, high schools.
