Miscevic: Dialogue continuation brings opening of Chapter 35 (Blic, Tanjug)

Tanja Miscevic, head of Serbia's negotiating team with the EU, said  that she expects that Chapter 35 on Kosovo will be opened shortly after the continuation of the dialogue on the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina. Joksimovic: Brussels Agreement is the best possible solution (Blic)

The Association of Serb Municipalities (ZSO) is to be established in three to five months, said Marko Djuric, director of the Serbian government's Office for Kosovo and Metohija. Djuric: Community of Serbian municipalities will be created in five months (Blic)

Community of Serbian municipalities (ZSO) will be formed in the next three to five months, said the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric. Djuric said that the establishment of the ZSO is the focal point of political struggle in Kosovo: "We want that ZSO has the capacity and that in political and any other terms ZSO will provide the Serbs in K&M the opportunity to decide and manage their own matters.

Serbia and Kosovo should discuss payment of public debt (Blic)

Serbia and Kosovo should soon discuss the further paying back of a portion of the public external debt of the territory of Kosovo and Metohija, according to the magazine Business and Finance. The deadline for paying the debt is 2041, and amounts to 347.1 million dollars. Serbia’s Public Debt Administration recently launched an initiative to open negotiations with Pristina authorities on this subject. Serbia is still paying off Kosovo’s foreign debt, which dates back from the last century, although Serbia did not collect any fiscal revenues from Kosovo for years.
