Tanja Miscevic, head of Serbia's negotiating team with the EU, said  that she expects that Chapter 35 on Kosovo will be opened shortly after the continuation of the dialogue on the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina. After one or two rounds of the dialogue on normalization of the relations with Pristina, which will be held at the highest political level, I expect that Chapter 35 on Kosovo will be opened, and this will include monitoring of everything that was agreed in Brussels, Miscevic said for Belgrade TV Pink. "Brussels Agreement reflects the reality which is: the EU understood and accepted the fact that Serbia has not recognized Kosovo's independence, as well that we have to accept the fact that many states have recognized it," said Jadranka Joksimovic, Minister for European Integration of Serbia.  She said that the Brussels Agreement was the best possible solution. Marko Djuric says the Brussels agreement should be respected and inflammatory rhetoric avoided when speaking about the community of Serb municipalities. The Association of Serb Municipalities (ZSO) is to be established in three to five months, said Marko Djuric, director of the Serbian government's Office for Kosovo and Metohija. "The new provincial government is based on the coalition agreement, whose first article reads that the deadline for the ZSO formation is three to five months. ZSO and its formation is a condition of the government's existence.

President of the Independent Liberal Party (SLS) Slobodan Petrovic said that with the support to Vladeta Kostic, Serbian candidate for mayor of Gracanica, this party wanted to take part of the responsibility for the implementation of obligations towards the citizens. “The next mayor of Gracanica should be at the service of all its residents,” said Petrovic and explained that SLS is already in coalition with the Serbian List. “We believe that jointly we will better solve problems that were created all these years.

Community of Serbian municipalities (ZSO) will be formed in the next three to five months, said the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric. Djuric said that the establishment of the ZSO is the focal point of political struggle in Kosovo: "We want that ZSO has the capacity and that in political and any other terms ZSO will provide the Serbs in K&M the opportunity to decide and manage their own matters.

Serbia and Kosovo should soon discuss the further paying back of a portion of the public external debt of the territory of Kosovo and Metohija, according to the magazine Business and Finance. The deadline for paying the debt is 2041, and amounts to 347.1 million dollars. Serbia’s Public Debt Administration recently launched an initiative to open negotiations with Pristina authorities on this subject. Serbia is still paying off Kosovo’s foreign debt, which dates back from the last century, although Serbia did not collect any fiscal revenues from Kosovo for years.
