A delegation of the Association of Families of Kidnapped and Missing Persons from Kosovo will meet on 7 September with the representatives of the Serbian Prosecution Office for War Crimes and discuss many difficult and painful issues, told president of the Association, Simo Spasic. "We have been waiting for this meeting for a long time ... We want to hear what the Prosecution has done so far and what to expect from the Special Court for crimes of the KLA," said Spasic.

Kosovo Minister of Communities and Returns Dalibor Jevtic said that the Community / Association of Serbian Municipalities (ZSO) is not aimed against Albanians.  Jevtic said that the ZSO is mechanism that will also help improvement of the life of Albanians, especially those living in the areas which will become a part of the ZSO. "The ZSO will enable investments and in economic terms will improve the lives of all citizens that will be part of the ZSO. There is no reason for concern, "said Jevtic.

The Serbian Government's Office for Kosovo and Metohija has denied the claim made by Edita Tahiri, Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, that Belgrade "recognized Kosovo."

According to Edita Tahiri, whose statement was carried earlier on Thursday by Beta agency, Serbia did this "through the agreement on energy" reached earlier this week, which, according to her, contains the term "the Republic of Kosovo."

Agreements signed in Brussels, in particular the one on the establishment of Community/Association of Serbian municipalities, are a big thing and will be "powerful instrument" of Serbs in Kosovo, said political analyst Dusan Janjic. He said that he expects the ZSO to start with its work until March.

Janjic believes that the ZSO is "a useful tool that allows you, if you know how to use it, certain advantages over the rest of Kosovo."

Festival "Belgrade one month in Pristina" begins today and will last until September 16. As in the case of the recent presenting of the Pristina scene in Belgrade, it will include film screenings, panels, exhibitions and concerts.

Chairman of the Committee for Kosovo and Metohija (KiM) Milovan Drecun met with the rapporteur of the Committee on Political Affairs and Democracy of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Agustin Conde. They discussed the issues of human rights, establishment of democratic standards and the fight against corruption and organized crime in Kosovo.

The Board of EULEX judges in Mitrovica North today extended the detention to the leader of Civic Initiative SDP Oliver Ivanovic till 27 October. Ivanovic was informed about the decision in a hospital, where he was due to deteriorating health condition caused by several days of hunger strike.

Rapporteur of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Agustin Conde will visit Belgrade in the framework of preparation of the report on the situation in Kosovo and the role of CoE.

The construction of Nis-Pristina-Durres highway will be one of the most important projects presented in the Western Balkans Summit in Vienna on August 27, since it should link Corridors 10 and 8, and interconnect the region, the Serbian Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure stated.

Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Branimir Stojanovic said today that all Serbs are interested in the case of the detention of the Civic Initiative leader SDP Oliver Ivanovic and that they would react each time when an individual's rights were threatened.

"So far we did not interfere as the political representatives, but now it becomes clear that this is no ordinary case and that some things are happening that are not regular in law and this we need to point out," said Stojanovic visiting the RTS.
