Working group for development of agriculture in Kosovo (RTS)

The Director of the Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric said that government has set the inter-ministerial group which should enhance the development of the agriculture in Serb settlements in Kosovo and Metohija.

Working group will be comprised of representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Office for Kosovo and Metohija.

Gračanica: School buses ‘hampering’ start of the school year (RTS)

Transportation company in Gračanica/Graçanicë, which operates in the Serbian government’s system, appeared to be unprepared for the start of the new school year, because school buses which are meant to transport students from villages to schools in central Kosovo are not registered. Buses which used to transport students are now parked at parking lots. Due to this situation schools in central Kosovo are attended by the half of usual number of students. Schools are ready but there are no students.

Mihajlovic: I expect Ivanovic to be released pending trial (RTS, KiM radio, TV Most)

Milivoje Mihajlovic, Director of the Office for Media Relations in the Serbian Government, said today that judge should release on bail the CI SDP leader Oliver Ivanovic.

"I think judge should decide to release Ivanovic on bail, because it’s irrelevant for the political scene in Kosovo whether he is out of custody or in it, because he was arrested in order to be removed from political life ahead of parliamentary elections in Kosovo," Mihajlovic told Radio Television Serbia (RTS).

Incident in Kosovka Mitrovica (RTS)

One vehicle was set on fire, whereas the other one was damaged in Kosovska Mitrovica last night around 23:00.

Regional Kosovo police head of operations Zeljko Bojic said to Tanjug that vehicle ‘Fiat Stilo’ which was set on fire is owned by a Kosovo Serb M.J. employed at the detention center in Kosovska Mitrovica.

Another vehicle ‘Polo’ which was parked next to the one which was set on fire, was also damaged. Kosovo police stated that first investigation results indicate the fire was planted.

Kosovo chapter won’t block Serbia? (RTS)

European Commission expects that Kosovo chapter won’t block the start of negotiations between Serbia and the EU. Serbia should, due to its good progress, open first chapters, most probably, in the first half of 2015, writes Deutsche Welle citing Brussels official.

The European Enlargement Commissariat said to Deutsche Welle that “Serbia is focused on the European agenda, it progresses well and shows high level of readiness”, carried Beta.

Albanian volunteers in Donetsk (RTS)

Few Albanian volunteers are fighting against pro-Russian forces in Donetsk, writes Pristina daily Lajm.

Albanian volunteers are situated at the airport in Donetsk, however it remains unclear whether they came to Ukraine from Kosovo, Albania or Macedonia.

One of the leaders of the pro-Russian forces in Donetsk Igor Strelkov said that he heard for arrival of Albanian volunteers, however he couldn’t confirm the information.
