"We should cooperate with NATO because of Serbs in Kosovo" (B92, Tanjug, TV Pink)

Serbia needs cooperation with NATO for the sake of security of Serbs in Kosovo, says Miroslav Lazanski, Serbian media reported.

This member of the Serbian Assembly from the ruling SNS and Politika daily columnist stressed that he was "yet to see a single statement, including from NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg, about Serbia having to join NATO."

Bakir Izetbegovic saying that he hopes Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH) will recognize Kosovo represented "a dangerous provocation."

This is according to former US Ambassador to Serbia William Montgomery.

Montgomery added that he "hoped the international community will react strongly and condemn this statement."

Dacic travels to NYC for UN Security Council Kosovo session (B92)

Serbian First Deputy PM and Foreign Minister, Ivica Dacic will represent Serbia at a UN Security Council session dedicated to Kosovo tomorrow, Serbian media reported.

The meeting at the UN headquarters in New York will consider the UN secretary-general's latest report on the work of the UN Mission (UNMIK) in Kosovo, covering the period between July 16 and October 15, 2017.

According to the Serbian Government, Dacic will speak about the report, "and present Serbia's assessment of the situation in Kosovo and Metohija and UNMIK's activity".

What “hampers” continuation of Belgrade-Pristina dialogue (TV N1, Novosti)

Stalemate in the Brussels dialogue lasts for four and a half months now, TV N1 reported last night. There are no official information neither from Brussels nor from Belgrade or Pristina when the next meeting could take place.

While Belgrade insists that the establishment of the Association of the Serb Municipalities should begin before the new round of negotiations, Pristina is requesting that the Brussels dialogue has a clear time limitation.

World power centers have overplayed their hand when they thought it was possible to redraw borders in the Balkans since it is not a part of the EU.

Serbian Foreign Minister and First Deputy Prime Minister Ivica Dacic said this in a statement for the Russian daily Izvestia, Sputnik and other Serbian media are reporting.

Dacic added that this behavior was "a shining example of double standards and hypocrisy of world politics".

EU sources comment on US diplomat's statements about Serbia (B92, BETA)

Recent statements made by US State Department official Brian Hoyt Yee are "his views, that have not been not harmonized with the EU".

This is what EU sources in Brussels told Beta on Tuesday.

Yee was in Belgrade in late October when he said that that Serbia will not progress on its path toward the EU unless it gives up its ties with Russia.

Suriname Home Affairs Minister: Decision is expression of friendship (BETA, B92)

Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ivica Dacic in a meeting with Suriname Home Affairs Minister, Mohamed F. Noersalim expressed Serbia’s gratitude over the decision to revoke recognition of Kosovo independence, Serbian media reported.

The Serbian Foreign Ministry release said that the Minister of Home Affairs of Suriname, Mohamed F. Noersalim highlighted that the Government of Suriname place a great significance to the principle of not interfering in internal matters, in particular that of friendly states, such as Serbia.
