Interview with Igor Šoltes, member of the European Parliament (Slovenia, Greens/EFA) and the newly appointed European Parliament rapporteur on Kosovo was published on the European Western Balkans portal today.

European Western Balkans: You have recently been appointed as the European Parliament standing rapporteur on Kosovo. What do you see as the most important current obstacles on Kosovo’s EU path?

Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic has expressed his belief that the list of countries that recognized Kosovo would ultimately fall to under 100, Serbian media reported.

He assessed that Guinea-Bissau's revocation of a decision to recognize Kosovo's unilaterally declared independence, indicated that (Pristina's) list of 114 countries that recognized Kosovo was "a lie."

The Serbian Foreign Ministry (MFA) said on Tuesday it remained committed to overcoming disagreements and enhancing bilateral relations with Ukraine.

This comes despite the insistence by Ukraine's ambassador to Belgrade on the stance that Russia is using Serbia to create chaos and provoke a war in the Balkans, Tanjug reported, citing a press release issued by the MFA.

Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said Serbia will not recognize Kosovo for the sake of joining the EU, Serbian media reported.

Speaking in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he will attend today the naming of one of the city's squares after the Republic of Serbia, Dacic added that full membership in the EU Serbia’s absolute foreign policy priority.

Serbia does not want to unify with the Republika Srpska (RS), the Belgrade-based daily Danas says was told by President Aleksandar Vucic's cabinet.

Vucic's cabinet said this when asked about RS President Milorad Dodik's map, drawn during his interview for DW, which showed his vision of the map of the Western Balkans.

In it, the Serb entity in Bosnia-Herzegovina joins Serbia, together with the north of a partitioned Kosovo.

The week of CEFTA starts today in Belgrade, while Kosovo is expected to take over the chairmanship from Serbia in the CEFTA Secretariat meeting, KoSSev portal reports today.

Deputy President of the Government of Serbia and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, Rasic Ljajic will open the week of CEFTA that would last till 23 November.

Creation of a regional economic area and harmonization of CEFTA market would be the focus of the event, KoSSev further reported.

Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik said that the policy of preserving territorial integrity, represented by Serbia, is an obstacle to the separation of Republika Srpska.

"If Serbia, in that moment, has said that it was OK, when Kosovo seceded, we would have been already separated," Dodik said in an interview with Deutsche Welle.

If Belgrade decides to recognize Kosovo's independence, Dodik says, he would not object, but it would mean that the Republika Srpska could be independent.

Minister of EU Integration Jadranka Joksimovic says Serbia "will not be conditioned by recognizing Kosovo in order to become a member of the EU."

Reacting to President Aleksandar Vucic's statement that the EU will ask Serbia to sign a legally binding document on normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina, Joksimovic said that this does not mean recognizing Kosovo.

The EU "will not allow Serbia to become a full member without a legally binding document at the end of the process of normalizing relations with Pristina," Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic told Tanjug.

"You need to carry out a normalization of the situation, as they put it," Vucic said and added that, "whatever the interpretation that is what the EU expects".

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg says that transformation of the Kosovo Security Forces can be done only in accordance with the Constitution, Serbian media reported.

Stoltenberg told a joint news conference with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in Brussels yesterday afternoon that he "clearly stated his position" on this issue "many, many times."
