Pristina "to lift blockade of Serbian trucks on Friday" (Tanjug, B92)

The Serbian Government's Office for Kosovo told Tanjug on Thursday that an agreement had been reached with Pristina to stop its unilateral blockade of trucks.

This included the blockade of trucks carrying hazardous substances such as oil and gas from central Serbia to Serbia's southern province, the Office said. It added that the agreement was reached with EU mediation and would mean an end to "Pristina's violation of the CEFTA agreement."

Kosovo with reciprocity measures on fuel transportation towards Serbia (Koha)

The Minister of Trade and Industry, Hikmete Bajrami, has signed the decision for reciprocity measures towards Serbia, in the field of transportation of oil and gas. The decision comes after Serbia’s refusal to recognize certificates of drivers of Kosovo vehicles carrying hazardous materials.

“From today, Kosovo will not recognize the same documents issued by Serbia,” said Kosovo’s Minister for Finance, Avdullah Hoti. He stressed that Kosovo Customs started to implement the decision last night, at 24:00 hours.

Chambers of Commerce to EU: Prevent overturning of trucks (KoSSev)

Chairpersons of the Chambers of Commerce of Serbia and Kosovo, Marko Cadez and Safet Gerxhaliu, respectively, have sent a joint letter to the EU high officials and ambassadors of the Quint states in Serbia and Kosovo, in which they condemn recent incidents of Serbian trucks, transporting Serbian commodities to Kosovo, that were overturned by activists of the ‘Self-Determination’ movement.

Chambers of Commerce of Serbia and Kosovo have strongly condemned last week's acts by supporters of radical Albanian movement ‘Self- Determination’, who overturned two Serbian trucks carrying commodities from Serbia to Kosovo. Chairpersons of both chambers will send a joint letter today to the EU institutions in Brussels and in Kosovo, requesting their active participation in finding solutions to this problem.

Stojanovic: I expect forthcoming elections without problems (Dnevnik)

Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister, Branimir Stojanovic confirmed to Dnevnik that the upcoming elections for the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia will be held in Kosovo. It means that the elections will be organized in all Serbian areas in coordination and with the assistance of the OSCE and other relevant international organizations.

Recognition of Kosovo - "separatists' unfulfilled dream" (B92)

Serbia recognizing Kosovo "will remain the unfulfilled dream of Pristina separatists," Marko Djuric has said.

Reacting to statements by provincial officials, including the newly-elected President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, the Director of the Serbian Government's Office for Kosovo and Metohija said that "Belgrade and Serbia want to have truly good and stable relations with Pristina and all Albanians in the region."
