Tahiri: The EU is condemning Serbia (Zeri)

Kosovo’s Minister without portfolio, Edita Tahiri, does not agree with the criticism of the opposition parties and civil society that the European Union (EU) is “spoiling” Serbia. Tahiri told Zeri that the EU has put the Chapter 35 for Serbia, which demands the normalization of relations with Kosovo, and requires the withdrawal of parallel structures in the north. "The EU is warning Serbia for its negligence regarding the implementation of agreements with Kosovo.

Energy, telecommunication and A/CSM on the agenda (Danas)

Prime ministers of Serbia and Kosovo, Aleksandar Vucic and Isa Mustafa, are supposed to continue the dialogue in Brussels on 21 April, at the margins of the meeting of prime minster of Western Balkans with the officials of the European Union over investments in the infrastructure in this part of Europe, learned Danas.

Wood thieves from Kosovo tried to enter Serbia proper (RTK2)

Serbian gendarmerie prevented today another attempt of wood stilling along the administrative line with Kosovo.

In the area of the village Vasiljevac in Kursumlija Municipality Serbian gendarmerie spotted a group of wood thieves who escaped after gendarmes fired several shots in the air, Tanjug learned in the Ministry of Interior (MUP) of Serbia. MUP communicated that EULEX was informed about the incident.

Kerry sends letter to Nikolic on behalf of Obama (RTS)

United States Secretary of State John Kerry sent a letter on behalf of U.S. President Barack Obama to the President of Serbia, Tomislav Nikolic, saying that the U.S.-Serbia relations are growing stronger and following an upward trend.
The U.S. agrees with President Nikolic's assessment that the role of Serbia, both regionally and globally, has changed significantly over the past years.

Berlin’s conditions for opening of the chapter 35 (Politika)

It could be heard, unofficially, that the reason behind the Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic’s anger with regard to new conditions set to Serbia related to its pre-accession talks with the EU is that European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, during her recent visit to Belgrade actually presented Germany’s conditions as additional ones for opening the chapter 35, which refers to Kosovo.

Maliqi: Reactions have not arrived to the cabinet of Edi Rama (Danas)

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama until yesterday afternoon did not receive any protest notes and letters from Serbia and the international community on the occasion of his statements about a possible unification of Albania and Kosovo, if the EU does not start integration of Kosovo, briefly told Danas, Rama's political adviser Shkëlzen Maliqi. Kosovo Offers Deal on Serb-Language Diplomas (BIRN)

The Kosovo government has put forward a landmark proposal that will make it easier for Kosovo Serbs and members of other minority groups to apply for jobs in public institutions.

The deal involves Kosovo accepting the validity of diplomas issued by the country's Serbian-language university in the Serb-run far north of the country.

Formerly part of the bi-lingual University of Pristina, the country’s public university during Yugoslavia, Serbian language faculties moved from Pristina to the northern, Serb-run half of the divided town of Mitrovica in 1999.

Zoran Stankovic: Small chances for a rerun of the census (Vecernje Novosti)

President of the Government Coordination Body for Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, Zoran Stankovic said that the number of inhabitants will be determined in these municipalities by May 1, adding that there are legal obstacles for repeating the census.

Some of the parties from this area have called for a boycott of the last census.

He said to Novosti that the National Council of Albanians have less money than they should, because for the funds is required to have data on population.
