Serbia allocates EUR one million for Notre-Dame reconstruction (Serbian Government, B92)

The Serbian Government has sent financial aid in the amount of one million euros to France for the reconstruction of the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, that was badly damaged in a catastrophic fire in the night of April 15, B92 reported quoting the statement of the government.

The government said that this decision "confirms centuries of friendship with the French people and expresses the desire to rebuild the symbol of French and global civilization as soon as possible and open this temple of culture and art for all of its future devotees."

 

Vucic's rating grows after big rally in Belgrade – pollster (Prva TV, Tanjug, B92)

IPSOS Research Sector Director Marko Uljarevic says that Aleksandar Vucic's rating has improved after the "Future of Serbia" rally in Belgrade on Friday.

Uljarevic told Prva TV that the rating of Serbian president and SNS leader has increased by six percent, adding that the protests of the opposition have led to the decline of the rating of the Alliance for Serbia (SzS).

A large rally was held on Friday afternoon in front of the Serbian National Assembly in Belgrade. The gathering was organized as part of President Aleksandar Vucic's "Future of Serbia" campaign.

A large stage was installed in front of the parliament building, along with three large LED displays. Nikole Pasica Square was closed for traffic, as well as parts of Decanska and Vlajkoviceva streets.

Dacic: Serbia will never join anti-Russia sanctions (Tanjug, B92, TASS)

Serbia will not impose any restrictive measures on Russia despite pressure, Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic has said.

"The friendship between Russia and Serbia is already a tradition. Now our relations are at the level of strategic cooperation. That's why Serbia never has and never will impose sanctions or other restrictive measures against Russia despite the pressure exerted on Serbia," Dacic told Izvestiya, TASS is reporting.

According to him, Serbia's plans to become part of the European Union will not hamper development of relations with Russia.

Fatherland Movement on negotiation platform with Kosovo, Vucic’s policy (KoSSev)

Serb National Fatherland Movement from Kosovo and Metohija urged today President Aleksandar Vucic and the Serbian authorities to return decision-making on the status of Kosovo “within the UN SC auspices,” and involve the Russian Federation in it “that for the last two decades in the UN safeguarded the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia within the UN Resolution 1244,” KoSSev portal reported.

Vucic-Putin meeting confirmed for April 26 in China (Sputnik, B92)

Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic confirmed on Wednesday after meeting with his Russian counterpart that the president of the two countries will meet on April 26. Aleksandar Vucic and Vladimir Putin will speak in Beijing during a Belt and Road forum.

Dacic announced that meeting during a press conference with Sergei Lavrov, Sputnik said.
