Kosovo’s Principal Deputy Prime Minister Behxhet Pacolli argues in an opinion piece that there was no other way but dialogue for Kosovo to wield sovereignty in the northern part of its territory. He notes that with the Brussels agreement, Serbia is officially withdrawing its police and administrative control from the north. Pacolli further writes, “after the Brussels agreement, Kosovo must now focus all its energies in economic development and in improving the lives of the people. These are real challenges that we need to overcome both as government and opposition. Kosovo must be a convenient home for all generations. Kosovo has the potential to be a better place because it is a country blessed by God, with bountiful natural and human resources and with a wonderful youth”.
