Minister without portfolio in charge of Kosovo and Metohija Aleksandar Vulin said today that the leader of Civic Initiative SDP Oliver Ivanovic is much calmer since he was transferred from the Pristina detention center in Kosovska Mitrovica detention and that the state of Serbia will give the best to help him.

Vulin was the guest of TV Pink where he stated that Ivanovic could not be good, considering seven days of hunger strike, but he is far calmer and can walk within the prison circle. “Sometimes, some little things mean a lot – walk around the prison circle without fear someone will kill you,” he said, adding that his family regularly visits him.

He said that Serbia will provide legal assistance to Ivanovic, take care of his health, provide him the best doctors, exercise pressure on the international community, give written guarantees for him …

Ivanovic was arrested on 27 January on suspicion of participating in atrocities committed during 1999 and 2000, including aggravated murder. He is one of the Serbs detained in Kosovo, for whom the Serbian Government gave guarantees that in the case he will be allowed release pending trial he will be at all times available to the judiciary.
