In an interview for KTV’s show Rubikon, Prime Minister of Kosovo Hashim Thaci said that EULEX will change its mandate in June and that its future role will be an advisory one. Meanwhile, Thaci blamed Brussels for delays in the visa liberalisation process.

“Kosovo has done its homework but Brussels has been late in visa liberalisation. There is lack of unity in Brussels about Kosovo,” stressed Thaci, adding that the inability of Kosovo citizens to travel without visas to European countries is the greatest injustice Brussels has caused Kosovo.

Speaking about upcoming elections, Thaci said his party will run alone and will score a convincing victory. Thaci also spoke about the creation of a tribunal for war crimes in Kosovo and said that the draft-statute for the tribunal’s establishment is invalid. “Nothing outside Kosovo institutions will happen,” he said. At the same time, he called the allegations of KLA being involved in organ trade as “science fiction.”

Regarding criticism from the opposition that he is manipulating the public with promises about salary increases, Thaci responded by saying that he intends to keep his promises and that he has faith in his vision.
