Ivanovic in prison began a hunger strike on 7 August, demanding to be allowed release from the detention. However, he stopped the strike after 16 days. The leader of the civil initiative SDP, Oliver Ivanovic, is charged with the criminal offense of war crimes against civilians during 1999 and 2000, and the continuation of the trial in the Municipal Court in Kosovska Mitrovica has been scheduled for 10 September.
