Pristina agreed, at the last meeting in Brussels facilitated by the EU, with Belgrade’s proposal that works on revitalization of the bridge and construction of a pedestrian zone in Kosovska Mitrovica would kick off on Sunday, 14 August and end on 20 January 2017.
Opening of the bridge should become a symbol of normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina, that would enable implementation of the agreement on the Association/Community of Serb-majority municipalities (A/CSM), what would provide conditions for survival and progress of Serbs in Kosovo, communicated Serbian Government’s Office for Kosovo and Metohija.
The communique further states that consistent implementation of the reached agreements by Belgrade, leaves Pristina without any justifications for further obstruction of the dialogue by non-establishing the A/CSM.
