Deputy Prime Minister Branimir Stojanović and Special Representative of the UN Secretary General in Kosovo Zahir Tanin discussed the current political situation, program of the platform Our Plan and the development of new initiatives, announced the office of the Deputy Prime Minister.

The meeting also discussed the coordination and future cooperation between the Cabinet of the Deputy Prime Minister and UNMIK.

Today all Serbian media reported on yesterday's session of UN Security Council devoted to the situation in Kosovo. Special representative of the Secretary General and head of UN mission in Kosovo Zahir Tanin presented the quarterly report on Kosovo and said that Belgrade and Pristina accused each other for inflammatory rhetoric that resulted in a reduction in trust between the two sides.

The director of the so-called Office for Kosovo at the Government of Serbia, Marko Djuric, met today with the UNMIK Chief in Kosovo, Zahir Tanin, with whom he discussed the situation in Kosovo.

According to the Tanjug news agency, Djuric said that Serbia is interested on stabilization of the situation as well as establishment of the Association of the Serb-majority Municipalities without conditions and based on the agreement reached in Brussels.

Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic received UNMIK head Zahir Tanin on Monday in Belgrade.

Nikolic "reiterat3e his position on the significance of the role of the UN Mission in Kosovo and Metohija and expressing the expectation that its scope would remain unchanged."

Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic will meet today, in separate meetings in Belgrade, the Head of the OSCE in Kosovo, Jean-Claude Schlumberger and UNMIK chief Zahir Tanin, said the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Dacic will meet first Schlumberger at 10 am, and then with Tanin at 11 am.

These meetings precede the meeting of the UN Security Council where will be submitted regular quarterly UNMIK report on the situation in Kosovo.

The head of the UN Mission in Kosovo, Zahir Tanin and his associates visited the municipalities of Klokot/Kllokot and Parteš/Partesh.

"My goal is to get more acquainted with the situation and the way people live, and with what kind of problems they face, so that we can help, me and my colleagues from the international community," said Tanin.

Mayor of Klokot/Kllokot, Srećko Spasić told Tannin about the problems of this local government.

The Mayor of Mitrovica North, Goran Rakić, and the executive head of the municipal administration, Adrijana Hodžić, met with the head of UNMK Zahir Tanin and his team. The main goal of the visit of UNMIK’s head was introduction with the current situation in Mitrovica North Municipality.

Mayor of Gračanica /Graçanica Vladeta Kostić met with the head of the UN Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo Zahir Tanin and his team. UNMIK chief showed interest in the current situation in the municipality of Gračanica/ Graçanica, and one of the topics that were discussed was the future cooperation of municipality with the Interim Administration Mission.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov on Tuesday called on Kosovo to implements obligations it had agreed to under the deal with Serbia, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, Gatilov and UN Special Representative for Kosovo Zahir Tanin held a meeting to discuss the situation in Kosovo, the statement said.

Director of the Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Ɖurić met today with Assistant Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations El-Ghassim Wane and introduced him with the process of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.  "It is necessary to restore confidence in the dialogue, and it can be reached only through implementation of the agreement on the establishment of Association / Community of Serb Municipalities (A/CSM)," said Ɖurić.
