Ahead of the Sunday meeting between the presidents of Serbia and Kosovo, the chiefs of the Belgrade and Pristina negotiating teams will continue a technical part of the dialogue in Brussels on Friday, with pessimism looming over the event.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said, on the statements given by Kosovo's representatives regarding the continuation of the dialogue, that he told the representatives of the European Union that, if those are Albanian attitudes then one should not waste the time on going to Brussels to continue the dialogue, reports Belgrade based daily Danas.

Aleksandar Vucic, the President of Serbia, has confirmed he will attend a meeting with his Kosovo’s counterpart Hashim Thaci on June 24 in Brussels but added he was not either pessimistic or optimistic regarding the outcome.

President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, said at the launch of “Be My Voice” campaign for support of victims of sexual violence during conflict in Kosovo that Serbia has to answer for war crimes. “We know all the crimes that Serbia committed in Kosovo and sooner or later it will be called to account for them,” Thaci said. He said sexual violence was used to shame the victims who need the institutional support. Thaci said that although Kosovo is known for public awareness-raising activities, more needs to be done to restore the victims’ dignity and faith.

European Commission and the EU High Representative Federica Mogherini by organizing a meeting at the level of presidents in Brussels this Sunday, want to move a frozen dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina ahead, analyst Dusan Janjic said.

Aleksandar Vucic and Hashim Thaci should meet on Sunday, June 24, at a new round of dialogue in Brussels, Prva TV is reporting.

“There is no way to justify violence exercised against Srpska Lista representatives and Office for Kosovo and Metohija Director, Marko Djuric in March, and those who ordered and carried out this heinous attack are responsible for the crime against peace,” Office for Kosovo and Metohija press statement said, Serbian media reported.

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci says in an interview with the Vienna daily Presse that the ''case'' of Marko Djuric was unnecessary and that something like this should not be repeated, and that he agreed with the President of Serbia about necessity of the agreement between Belgrade and Pristina, reports Belgrade based daily Blic.
