Vetevendosje to lead with the dialogue (gazetaexpress)

The agreement signed between the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), and the Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA), with Vetevendosje Movement, foresees that the dialogue will be led by Albin Kurti’s party.

The point five of the Agreement stresses that the dialogue is a responsibility of the Government led by Ramush Haradinaj, however the process of the dialogue will be led by Vetevendosje.

The news was confirmed after the signing of the agreement by LDK leader Isa Mustafa and AAK leader, Ramush Haradinaj.

Jahjaga: MPs to find a solution to political deadlock (Gazeta Express)

Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga today has called on members of the Kosovo Assembly to find a solution to the political deadlock. Jahjaga said the functioning of the Assembly would also help the fight against crime and corruption. “We need to create the new institutions as soon as possible and it is up to members of the Assembly to display readiness for untying the knot and for making way for the adoption of a number of laws that will help the fight against corruption and organized crime,” Jahjaga said at a roundtable organized by the Institute for Justice in Pristina.

Following media reports about the arrest of Imam Shefqet Krasniqi this morning, a spokesman for the Islamic Community of Kosovo (BIK), Ahmet Sadriu, said BIK supports the work of state institutions. Sadiku said BIK received no official information about Krasniqi’s arrest, but was informed about the developments from his family. “According to our information, he is being interviewed by the Special Prosecution. The Islamic Community of Kosovo is concerned about this,” Sadriu added.

Kosovo Prime Minister in charge Hashim Thaçi wrote in his Facebook account that he participated today in the opening of professional school in Stimje/Stimlje and that he informed the participants that in the coming days he expects the Assembly to come together and to be established the new government. According to him, “immediately it will start the implementation of New Mission and while the education is a priority for development of Kosovo beginning from next January there will be an increase of salaries for 25 percent for teachers,” wrote Thaçi in his account in Facebook.

 The outgoing Commander of the peacekeeping forces in Kosovo, General Salvatore Farina, said today during a press conference in Pristina that foreign warriors in Middle East, are not a phenomenon only in Kosovo, but in all western countries. The PDK, as winner of these elections, will work with a generous will and a spirit of understanding with the Kosovar political spectrum. Now is the time for every leader and every party to rise above their own interests for the sake of the state and society.
