British Ambassador left the room when Thaci criticized international community (Gazeta Metro)

The Ambassador of the Great Britain to Kosovo, Ruairi O’Connell, left the room where a debate on the Special Court was taking place, when Kosovo’s President, Hashim Thaci, criticized harshly the international community. He said the international community betrayed Kosovo, because they had promised liberalization of visas, membership at UNESCO and European Council in exchange for the Special Court.

Albania’s Prime Minister, Edi Rama, shared on his Facebook page the writing of the Serbian President, Aleksandar Vucic, where he speaks about Kosovo. Rama called the text “story of the day” and valued highly the road toward improvement of the relations between Albanians and Serbs. He added that reciprocal efforts in the dialogue will relax further these relations for as he put it “the children of our two nations and responsibility for the future in peace and welfare of our two nations.”

EU: We want elections and results acceptable for everyone (Gazeta Metro)

The Office of the European Union in Kosovo, requests for the election process in Kosovo to by fair and in accordance with the European standards.

“As far as the election process itself is concerned, Kosovo should demonstrate capability to organize fair and free elections in accordance with the European standards,” the EU officials said adding that an acceptable result for everyone should be reached.

Tim Judah: Serbia’s campaign revived Haradinaj politically (Gazeta Metro)

The well-known British journalist and analyst, Tim Judah, analyzed the possibility of new prime ministers in Serbia and Kosovo. He considers that such move could bring new approach at both governments as well as dialogue facilitated by the EU.

After the reach of pre-election coalition between the PDK and AAK, Judah wrote on Twitter that it can very easily happen for Ramush Haradinaj and Ivica Dacic to become heads of the executive.

Thaci meets urgently Veseli to discuss motion of no-confidence (gazetametro)

 The President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci held an urgent meeting with the President of the Assembly of Kosovo, Kadri Veseli. Gazeta Metro reports that Thaci left immediately after his speech at the meeting with civil society representatives on the draft regulation of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, to meet Veseli and discuss opposition parties’ submission of the motion of no-confidence on the government.

Lunacek: EU has to put pressure on Serbia to withdraw obsolete arrest warrants (Gazeta Metro)

The European Parliament Vice-President and  rapporteur for Kosovo, Urlike Lunacek, hailed the decision of the Colmar Court not to extradite Ramush Haradinaj to Serbia. "I am very pleased that the French judiciary today rejected the extradition of the former Kosovo Prime Minister, Ramush Haradinaj, to Serbia, and that he was released with immediate effect.

Ahtisaari: Continue dialogue with Serbia (Gazeta Metro)

The UN Special Envoy during the Vienna dialogue, Marti Ahtisaari, has stressed the importance of the continuance of the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia. On a video transmission during a seminar organized by the Embassy of Finland to Kosovo, on the occasion of the 100 anniversary of the Finish state, Ahtisaari said that dialogue is the only sustainable solution. “Do not waste your time and continue the dialogue with Serbia – this is the only way to create stability in the country. Dialogue should not be disregarded,” Ahtisaari said.
