Stefanovic: Serbs in Kosovo do not trust Pristina institutions (Tanjug, B92)

Serbian Minister of Internal Affairs, Nebojsa Stefanovic said Serbs in Kosovo do not trust Pristina institutions, adding that Pristina’s police and army cannot replace KFOR and EULEX, Tanjug news agency reports.

According to him, Pristina by establishing the so-called army wanted to show that Kosovo no longer needs international presence.

“It is unacceptable because Serbs do not trust these structures. Without KFOR there, we would enter a crisis situation,” Stefanovic told TV Pink.

 

Stefanovic: Good diplomatic victory of Serbia (Prva TV, B92)

Serbian Minister of Interior, Nebojsa Stefanovic speaking for Prva TV news edition said that Serbia has won a good diplomatic victory at the UN SC session yesterday evening.

“It was a good diplomatic victory of Serbia. Serbia did all as it should, it was good to see the world started to realize there is no solution to the Kosovo issue without Serbia. It was also noticeable that different tones could be heard,” Stefanovic added.

Djuric, Vulin, Stefanovic reactions on new Pristina’s negotiation team, Limaj (RTS)

Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric said Pristina does not want any serious talks about the future and normalization of relations, but instead wishes to continue with provocation, RTS reports.

Djuric noted that Pristina’s decision to appoint one of the most notorious commander of terrorist KLA Fatmir Limaj as one of the heads of its negotiation team is ridiculing the very essence of a dialogue idea.

Meanwhile, Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin said that Limaj’s appointment is an insult to common sense.

Stefanovic blames EU over unresolved case of Oliver Ivanovic’s murder (BETA, B92)

Serbian Minister of Internal Affairs, Nebojsa Stefanovic said that due to “bad treatment” by EULEX, respectively the EU, the case of Oliver Ivanovic’s murder has not been resolved yet, BETA news agency reported.

“I do not expect much from Pristina institutions, but I expect from EULEX not to treat this case with negligence, because we do not have this case solved due to bad treatment by the EU.”

He also asked where is EULEX in the investigation of Oliver Ivanovic’s murder, where are the people from the EU, where is special police, Serbian media reported.

Russian Ambassador: Celebration and victory go well together (Tanjug, B92)

Russian Ambassador in Belgrade Aleksander Chepurin has congratulated Serbian Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic on his "excellent work in Dubai."

Chepurin was referring to Tuesday's vote that once again left Kosovo out of Interpol membership, held in Dubai, where Stefanovic was heading the Serbian delegation.

Serbian Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic has declared a victory in Dubai, where Interpol is holding its General Assembly, B92 reports.

Namely, the latest attempt of the self-proclaimed state of Kosovo to join the organization - which Serbia strongly opposed - has failed.

Stefanovic celebrated with a tweet showing the room where the voting took place, with the word "VICTORY" in Serbian superimposed over it.

Stefanovic on security situation in Kosovo, Interpol (Tanjug, B92, TV Pink)

The security situation in Kosovo and Metohija is complex, Serbian Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic said. He also added that the President Aleksandar Vucic is not the enemy of the Albanians living in Kosovo - but of those who want to expel and kill the Serbs living in that southern province.

Serbian Minister of Internal Affairs, Nebojsa Stefanovic said that “the obvious aim of Kosovo Assembly Speaker Kadri Veseli claims, that Serbian President is Kosovo enemy, is to draw the target on Vucic’s head,” Tanjug news agency reported.

Stefanovic underlined that Vucic is no enemy to Albanians, or anyone else living in the territory of the southern Serbian province, instead he is fighting for the interests of Serbs living there.

Serbian Minister of Internal Affairs, Nebojsa Stefanovic says every story about the so-called Kosovo request to join Interpol represents politicization of this professional police organization.

Pristina's possible admission would constitute a gross violation of international law and UN Security Council Resolution 1244, Stefanovic told the tabloid Kurir.

Also, he said, it would represent a precedent that is contrary to the rules of Interpol, which strictly and unequivocally envisages that only UN member states and UN observers can be members of the organization.

Vucic: Announcements of establishing army in Kosovo concerning (Tanjug, RTS)

Announcements of establishing Kosovo army, under that or some other name, is something that causes fear and anxiety, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said, adding he hopes for some sort of Belgrade-Pristina dialogue continuation in order to decrease tension because of such things, Tanjug news agency reported.

Vucic made these remarks responding to the journalist’s question to comment on Pristina announcements they would make a decision this week on forming the army, either with that or some other name.
