Serbian Internal Affairs Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic said there were “lots of speculation and spinning in the public” about the murder of Civic Initiative Freedom, Democracy, Justice leader Oliver Ivanovic, but that Serbia remains committed to finding his killers and those who have ordered it. This is important for the security of citizens in Kosovo and Metohija, but also for the general security of Serbia, BETA news agency reported today.

Serbia’s Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic said on Tuesday that police from the northern city of Novi Sad arrested four people suspected of attacking two young Albanians over the weekend, N1 reported.

Stefanovic said that police found the clothing the suspects wore at the night of the attack, adding that that was important for the further investigation.

Serbian National Assembly Speaker Maja Gojkovic said she expects the EU to react to threats against President Aleksandar Vucic made before his announced visit to Kosovo, Serbian media reported.

Gojkovic added, she hopes the EU would not urge the both sides to ease tensions, because Belgrade threatened no one this time.

All Serbian media reports today on reply of the Serbian Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic to Kadri Veseli saying that Belgrade understood the threats he sent to the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.

Stefanovic warned Veseli "not to take any action against the Serbian president".

President of the Assembly of Kosovo Kadri Veseli said that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic may not be allowed to enter Kosovo.

Serbian Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic, commenting on Kosovo's withdrawal from the Brussels Dialogue, says that Pristina did not act independently, but with the tacit consent of Western partners.

"Where does this lead to? To not treat the dialogue seriously and to not form the Community of Serb Municipalities. Then it should be said," Stefanovic told in a press conference in the Palace of Serbia.

Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj claims that Belgrade refuses to cooperate with Pristina regarding Oliver Ivanovic’s murder and that responses to the murder are hidden in Belgrade, Serbian media reported.

Meanwhile, Serbian Interior Minister, Nebojsa Stefanovic told RTS Serbia is interested the case of Oliver Ivanovic’s murder to be resolved, but he does not see the readiness of Pristina authorities to do so.

"Anyone who our security services assesses to be able to have certain knowledge or to participate in the demolition of our constitutional order, security conditions, is called for an interview, that person has not been arrested, none of them have been arrested," said Stefanovic. He talked to Ljubica Gojgic, on RTV's latest show "Pravi ugao", revealing that the Serbian information agency has called on people for an informative interrogation.

Serbian Interior Minister, Nebojsa Stefanovic said that responsible bodies undertake measures and acts that should lead to raising indictments against perpetrators and those who have ordered the arrest of Office for Kosovo and Metohija Director, Marko Djuric, Danas daily reported.

The Western Balkans region has become a recruiting ground for the Islamic State, Serbian Internal Affairs Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic told a conference on terrorism in Russia yesterday, TV N1 reported.

 A press release from the Serbian Internal Affairs Ministry said that Stefanovic told the conference that most of the combatants the Islamic State recruited were from Bosnia and Kosovo with about 800 of them going to Syria and Iraq.

The overall security situation in Kosovo is very serious - Serbian Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic said in Belgrade on Friday.

Stefanovic told this to Assistant UN Secretary-General Alexander Zuev, and reiterated Serbia's position on the need for UNMIK's continued presence on the ground.
