Odalovic: Washington may bring Pristina to its senses (RTS, BETA, TV N1)

Secretary General in the Serbian Foreign Affairs Ministry, Veljko Odalovic said on Friday the US President Donald Trump’s letters to Pristina and Belgrade were a message with the best intention to help empower dialogue and the search for a compromise and sustainable solution, BETA news agency reports.

Odalovic added the European Union facilitated talks in Brussels entered a severe crisis due to “Pristina’s irresponsible behavior” and that it was crucial to use days ahead to improve the dialogue.

Secretary General of the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Veljko Odalovic said it is good that the Specialist Prosecution in the Hague started to summon KLA commanders to give statements.

According to Odalovic “this is a tip of an iceberg, that started to be unveiled.”

Speaking for RTS morning news edition, Odalovic said the Working Group on gathering facts and evidences about crimes in Kosovo and Metohija, handed over a document that depicts KLA command structure and crimes they have committed.

Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) Veljko Odalovic says that Serbia will not leave its people in Kosovo and Metohija. Odalovic also added that Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj "can only be made to see reason by the EU and the US."

Odalovic told RTS that it is "most important that Brussels should be the one to explain to Pristina that things they are doing can cause serious problems."

Odalovic: I expect indictments for war crimes against Serbs (RTS, Tanjug)

Chairperson of the Serbian Government Commission for Missing Persons, Veljko Odalovic told Tanjug news agency he expects that the Special Court for KLA war crimes would rise indictments, as per evidences delivered to it, for the crimes committed against Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija.

Forensics to verify if discovered bodies belong to Serbs (Politika, B92, Tanjug)

There are at least five bodies discovered over the last three weeks nearby Djakovica town, however, their number could be higher, Serbian media reported.

Chairperson of the Missing Persons Commission, Veljko Odalovic said there is reasonable doubt that these bodies belong to people listed as missing Serbs from Kosovo.

Odalovic told Politika daily that international forensics and anthropologists are working on identification of the mortal remains and it is expected identity of these people would be known soon.

In the village of Piskote near Djakovica, at least three people have been exhumed, and further investigation will determine whether there are still bodies buried in this place. According to the Vesti portal, the President of the Commission for missing of the Government of Serbia, Veljko Odalovic, also confirmed this information and said that most likely those were remains of the Serbs who were kidnapped or disappeared during 1999.

Kuburovic: I expect beginning of work of Special Court and continuation of dialogue (BETA, RTS, B92)

Serbian Justice Minister, Nela Kuburovic told BETA news agency she expect the Special Court for KLA crime would soon begin to operate.

Kuburovic also said, she believes the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue in Brussels would continue.

“I believe the Specialist Chambers would soon start working and that the justice to the victims will be served,” Kuburovic said.

She added, that an initiative to abrogate the Special Court would not be able to prevent the work of that court as there is an international agreement on its establishment.

Odalovic: Internal dialogue on Kosovo is not a farce (RTS)

Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Veljko Odalovic visiting the RTS News said that the internal dialogue on Kosovo should be opened as widely as possible and include as many of the most referent institutions and special organizations as possible - both civil society and the non-governmental sector.

Chair of the Serbian Government Missing Persons Commission, Veljko Odalovic, stated that this year, only two Serb families took over the bodies exhumed in Kosovo, KIM Radio reported.

Odalovic also stated to BETA news agency there are no exhumations in Kosovo at the moment and the question remains whether activities would continue by the end of the year.

Out of 1.600 persons still missing in Kosovo, more than 550 are of Serbian nationality, Serbian media reported.

State Secretary in the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Veljko Odalović told RTS that Serbia expects at least neutrality from its neighbours, regarding the vote on Kosovo's entry into UNESCO.

Veljko Odalović, visiting the RTS program, said that FYROM, for no reason, in recent months has been changing its relationship and policy towards Serbia.
